info from TIB770T
838H had its revenue facilities removed.
Compared to how SBST renews its fleet, SMRT is.........
There's no new high-capcity bus anywhere in sight on service to actually replace it!

Sigh...I tot SMRT would be so good to extend it for 2 more years.
Honestly, I prefer the bus to be refurb(At least the seat cover) and extended 2 more years..

Nope. Non of the MK1s were extended, but some should be extended in 2014-2015.

Leaking aircon, some of the seats are cracked, articulated part leaks when it rains and the bus is quite dirty.
But Aircon is shiok and engine sounds much quieter than other box bendies..

should be extended given that they are refurbished.

aircon blower not working as well as other box bendies... artics torn, you cant even just apply a waterproof layer over it, you die die must replace it... quiet because other box bendies have their engine insulation for some weird reason after refurbishment

they should be given how extensive the refurbishments are...

Yes, that is what I had mentioned in the previous post.
2014/15 or not the box bendy should retire early once the 29 units rolls in.

i rather them keep the box bendies until 19 years... they are still in a very good condition after refurbishments

I mean some will be extended in 2014 and 2015 when their 17 year lifespans will be coming near to their ends.
