My uncle, who works in SMRT, is an AM 67 SL, former AM 852 SL, I won't reveal his name due to privacy reasons. Since he speaks in Singlish with Mandarin, I will translate it for him.
Question: Is SMRT buying new high capacity buses?
Answer from him: SMRT is buying new WAB bendy buses, I think 30 of them including the demonstrator bendy on test-run in STK, Corporation Road.
Question: So no DDs?
Answer from him: SMRT can never have DDs as it is not feasible to have 2 kinds of high capacity buses. Plus we are already trained in bendies, and our depots can't really support DDs.
I never asked him about the TIB447C blueprint though...

From TIB1218R: The MAN A24 got a rego already(needs confirmation).
From the AM 67 SL(Inaccurate info): LTA did consider of banning bendies once, but decided not to in the end, thus SMRT will continue to purchase new WAB bendies.

if its inaccurate why do you still post it? then what is accurate?
yep confirmed on SGT ''Mandy'' has a rego plate
and one wonders why SBST's services seem to be much more well-managed like a well-oiled machine in general....
please spare a thought for the poor SLs ...

1) New bus int that LTA planned out like at Boon Lay bo chap abt needs of bendy buses alrdy… Still want to buy and cripple itself
2) MRT bridging: The other day the incident at Newton… I laughed and laughed about Tibs’s stupid decision to buy bendy bus… The bendy buses nearly got crippled while trying to make turnaround at Toa Payoh…
Int can’t take in bendies, buses end up gotta use unsignalised T-junctions to do turning…
3) Normal ops: Alrdy boarding is slower than alighting which is an undeniable fact, the length of bendy buses impeding buses of forming up properly at Yishun & Woodlands during PM peak are creating all the delays and jam…
Explain why SBST refused deployed DD any past MRT breakdown~

those who have read the COI report… even LTA went to kachiow SBST to deploy more buses out… When it’s alrdy paralaysed in the CBD, deploy more SD???
and afaik… the last major breakdown in 1996 at AMK that side… many of the SBS buses pulled out were from AMK feeder.. got DD deployed to these buses?
think that's 1998 when a Siemens train derailed southbound before AMK. Its the same year when 3693G did a stunt on 231W at toa payoh temp int.

It was 1999.
I remember it very vividly because I was forced to take 169 and I arrived so late at my school in AMK that the teacher didnt even realise I wasnt at the afternoon assembly!
It was the time when the 169 Lances still had their blue desto as well.

It would be a joke if they never specify clearly about the bendies, moreover Singapore is expanding in terms of land n people~
But seriously, if they never implement any road structure meant for buses and only buses, the train still will somewhat "win" in terms of speed and capacity(able to board the train within 10mins or so).

1999
SB train terminates at KTB and NB at Bishan
one C651 got onto the wrong track, cannot reset properly
(sources said was set 219/220 heading to BSD, off service)
the news is big
It didnt just go onto the wrong track.
Some of it went totally off-track and it got stuck in the middle of the 3 track section close to NYP.
Saw it while on my way to the school.
anyway
for the A24 ...
most likely to be seen on feeders or intratowns
