I think...
LO3X(Can anyone share with me the max speed?)
Citaros(SBST/SMRT)(70km/h)
ZF Wrights(65-70km/h)
Dennis Lance(80km/h)
MAN NL323F(70-75km/h)
Mercedes Benz O405(SMRT)(90km/h)
Mercedes Benz O405G(MK1/MK2/Habit/Volgren)(80-85km/h)
Mercedes Benz OC500LE(70-75km/h)
What do you think? Is there any other models with high top speeds? What is the top speed for the LO3X?
It's subjective
60-65 km/h.
if the bus a lot of diesel, 70km/h.
if diesel going to finish, 55km/h.
A22s and citaros are still stuck at 60km/h coz limiter haven't take out ._.
Newer buses very hard leh,Got ecu unlike old buses like the B10Ms where we can manually "operate" it to run a bit faster.

Nissan Diesel U31RCN the best. With 12R 22.5 tyres, top speed i ever got on with PRC driver was 95km/h along Woodlands road on 178. Fastest bus i ever took on citybus till date. Even faster than school buses.

Wa 95km/h!! Thats close to hitting 100 man!!
I remember once i took CSS195K on 975,the prc driver also chiong like freaking full speed along Lim Chu Kang..I can still clearly remember the sight of the driver's seat always bouncing whenever the bus is chionging.
Hmm? I thought the record was 90km/h set by O405s? Or was I wrong...
UDs reaching 95km/h? Did you by chance, have taken a look at the speedometer?
If it's true, record broken...
UD, I saw BC speeding at 97km/h on 178.
Citaro highest was 81km/h, SBS6078M on PIE, heard that got a citaro go till 85km/h
Wrights my fastest experience is 72km/h, SBS3195C speeding during night.
LO not so sure, but now acceleration sucks, their max sometimes can only go till 55km/h.
Dennis Lance my highest was 78km/h, on 980.
MAN was 77km/h on 858
Bendy and O405 my highest same.
OC my highest was 70km/h, nothing to share.

Oh yep, WONDERFUL idea posting all of this. Now that the mechanics have a list of what doesn't comply with operator policies, they will 'fix' them quick smart.
Be aware that management have as much access to these forums as the everyone else!
To these people, its perfectly fine to "voice opinion", "break laws at will", "distort facts".
And as I ever so often pointed out, they don't bother to think about what lies ahead and how what we post here can have effects on others.
This is a form of social empowerment through easily accessible media channels, in a societal context where "kids should be seen, not heard".
I am pretty sure you are aware of that.
I wash my hands off these: if the buses are all locked at 60+km/h, which I believe most indeed are, as long as I get around in one piece and relative comfort, its fine.
i told you all already.
if the bus a lot of diesel, 70km/h.
if diesel going to finish, 55km/h.
If they measure the fuel consumption the way motor racing does, then the speed should be opposite, lighter fuel load = higher speed!
I took a flying NAC Scania N113CRB on 109 b4...
I know alot of the youngsters are using the 'average speed' to calculate how fast their bus journey took using those random mobile apps available. But I want to ask you all that keep saying 'this bus reached 72kmh, 77kmh' etc, are you sure that's the fastest speed it reached at that point?
I mean, if you tell me the bus reached 65/70/75kmh on downhill stretches or benefit of doubt that the speed limiter was spoilt on the older buses, it's still believable cause they're at least in multiples of 5kmh & you can tell from the speedometer.
But you tell me a number like UD at 97kmh, Lance at 78kmh, are you sure you can tell those EXACT numbers from the speedo? You do know you calculate the average speed is not equal to the highest speed the bus reached right? *facepalm*
And the older buses don't have things like trip computers yeah, so don't tell me the trip computer showed the exact speed. Even if the newer ones have the trip computers, most of the time the BCs/SLs aren't even bothered to switch to the panel showing top speed, they want the fuel / distance info instead.
You want something faster reaching 100kmh, please go take a cab or drive your dad/mum's car. thank you. We don't want to die along with you.

No no, less fuel but still chiong = might end up stranded at the roadside instead of reaching the terminal. Paiseh only!

You obviously have got no idea why are bus engines different from car engines. So just shut up my friend.
i dont think the new buses will ever exceed ~60km/h (except downhill) due to ECU
how about this super bus. It can use for permium bus service ha ha ha
