  This thread is opened for all bus fans of the Volvo Single Deckers, which are basically:

  • Volvo B10M
  • Volvo B10BLE (Continued from previous thread)
  • Other SG Volvo Buses such as Sentosa Volvo B7RLE

  Basically we combined all the Volvo single rigids for easier convenience and mainteinance.

  How do you "register" for the club?

  Unofficial members: Register, by claiming you are in the club, will do.

  Official members: Register, and answer the following questions.

  VIP members: Register, answer the following questions, and share your photos/videos (You are the owner of the photos!) with us! 

  Simple questions to answer to "register" for the club

  1. List 5 of your most favourite Volvo Buses (Please include the B10Ms at the very least). You may include the bodywork of the bus where necessary.
  (Optional for B10BLE but a must for B10Ms at least)

  2. Out of your most favourite buses, bold your most favourite Volvo single rigid and change its font colour to BLUE.

  3. Which type of B10M do you prefer (DM, Strider, DM3500 or deregistered ones?) Why?

  Rules to follow in this club

  For this fan club there will be NO PENAL CODE or complicated rules or whatsoever. (But still at least follow the basic terms of service)

  Just dun flame anyone. Other than that, enjoy your hobby!

  Also, do treasure this as we took some time to prepare this thread, so dun take it for granted. Even if you were to dislike the Volvo single rigids, at least dun respond negatively here.

  My preferred B10M:

  DM3500, less noisy as compared to other models. Great comfort, strong aircorn, sitting at the back is something enjoyable to do!

  Preferred B10M : DM3500
  
  Reason : Silence of the B10M family, it is also one of the few B10M models which whistles with retardation, it sounds pleaseant. It also has a quicker accleration, compared to the DM bodied B10M. It's air-con is also very pleaseant. It's body design was an ultimate breakthrough, it was one of the vikings of the buses... until they were deployed to 160/170.

  Favourite model: B10M DM3500

  Reason: It is very quiet and smooth. One of the best buses in SBST. Good aircon and design too

  Many of us do seem to prefer the DM3500.

  I do the the B10M are constantly being improved and improved until the last batch of B10M are imported to SG (DM3500)

  History of Volvo B10M DM3500

  SBS2729U once had a Mobilis Media LCD screen installed, replacing its traditional side destination panel. However due to its inability to display the route information of other services other than Express 518, it was then removed.

  SBS2754X is the first bus in Singapore to be fitted with outswing plug doors.
  SBS2779A was originally fitted with Transit Media EDS and a CCTV camera beside the left front lights.

  
  SBS2696E, SBS2779A and SBS2812L was previously Nokia Ad-concept buses with special interiors.
  SBS2822H was previously the F&N ad-concept bus with special interior but it was then changed when it became the NTU ad-concept bus together with SBS2818L, SBS2795C and SBS2837R. The interior of SBS2837R was then changed when it became the HP ad-concept bus.

  Preferred B10M: Strider (Guess I am the only one that favours the Strider over the DM3500)

  I see many here like SBS933J lol. It was a superb bus when it permed svc 18 in the past.

  Preferred B10M: Strider. don't really favoured DM's bodyworks because i thought the strider bodywork looked more distinctive.
