  This service existed three times.

  Between Upp Serangoon terminal and World Trade Centre terminal. Amended to Hougang Central interchange in 1994. Merged with service 864 on Sunday 12 Dec 1999.

  On Monday 15 Sep 2003, re-introduced as a peak hours loop service between Punggol station and Punggol East. On Sunday 30 Nov 2003, amended to Punggol temporary interchange.
  Withdrawn on Saturday 12 Mar 2005, under Punggol LRT (East Loop) rationalisation.

  Re-introduced again on Saturday 3 September 2011 plying between Punggol Interchange and Punggol Road End (Loop) replacing part of Service 82 which is amended to ply between Punggol Interchange and Serangoon Central/Boundary Road (loop).

  If SBS2694K is 'busy' during crossovers and if lucky, citaro will be deployed on 84. Side destos used in the DMs previously is not the common red and white destos. I forgotten how it look like. When turning, service 84 will have to enter the carpark abit, and reverse to the parking lot outside, afterwards it will turn out to the next bus-stop. If no parking lots is available outside, the BC will have to make about 10 - 15 reverse-forward exercise.

  SBS1688K still operating on 84? It dosen't go in the jungle right? Sian... Inside there got 1 junction turn left then right then go down all the way got buffet restaurant. There got a damn big size fish weighing 276KG. Everytime go there it'll look at me. Also got pier to ride on boats and some games there. Also got 7-11 there.

  You know right in future Punggol development plan, service 84 may no more exist as the rest part of Punggol road is going to be a stone paved walk way only for pedestrians and cyclists.

  I like the turn where 84 does u-turn. Most scenic.

  Based on the visit i made to HDB ,they said 84 will be amended to loop at the future Punggol Rd(End).
