  Hmm IMHO all SBST express should convert to normal ones cause we've ardy Premium svc.If they really want express then revive back the old 503,511 and new exp svc from AMK

  I feel express services will not work well with AMK except to Chinatown. Going from AMK to Orchard, you can't compete with the MRT in terms of connectivity and fares.

  This will take years to get from town to AMK. This is not Pasir Ris.... We need a good balance between catchment and journey time.

  Any route that goes via CTE will be heavily jammed. That is why I decided to avoid CTE by coming from PIE. If I want to go to CTE might as well start trip from Braddell Road.

  Can I add that for Sv 518, unless you really have alot of time to travel or your destination is really right beside the route that Sv 518 plies, most casual commuters would be taking the MRT instead to Orchard / Suntec area from Pasir Ris? it spends a great deal of time circling the Tampines-Bedok area before heading up to PIE.

  Used to be 80mins minimum from Pasir Ris Dr 1 to Suntec before the Citaros came, not so sure about now especially after the fleet add. MRT ride easily shaved off about 15-20mins of that journey time.

  I missed the Express 505 of old though. It started from Pasir Ris right? I was in my pri sch days then when 505 was still around, remembered that it used to pass by some tunnel before reaching World Trade Centre?

  Last time i only take 518 if i want to to Suntec. From Pasir Ris to Orchard Road, i rather take MRT because 100% can get seat.

  Express 505 was awesome. i loved going WTC by Express 505 & coming back too. I was probably in Primary 5 then.

  I miss all the former Express buses like 501, 503,  505, 507, 511 and 512 in the early 2000s. Those were the heydays.

  They should re-introduce them back.

  501 - Sengkang to Marina Sq. Use the old route of 502 from Orchard to Sengkang.

  505 - Punggol to Clementi via KPE, ECP, MBS, Harbourfront and Pasir Panjang (West Coast Highway).

  507 - Hougang Central via Serangoon, KPE, ECP, MBS, Shenton Way, Raffles Place, Orchard Rd and loop at Scotts Rd to return to Hougang Central.

  511 - Replace 97e. (Peak Hour service only)

  512 - Replace 10e (Peak Hour service only)

  513 - Repace 14e (Peak Hour service only)

  515 - Repalce 196e (Peak Hour service only)

  516 - Replace 174e (Peak Hour service only)

  510 - Merge with 74e and 151e and amended to ply from Punggol, Sengkang, Hougang, Serangoon North, CTE, PIE, Bukit Timah, Ngee Ann Poly, NUS to Kent Ridge. 

  518 rename as 508.

  502 and 506 remains the same.

  It is very hard to have a service duplicating NSL for AMK. But you can consider something like an 851e or FFw-ing the old 850e.

  518 will go when DTL opens.

  I am disappointed that there are still no basic trunk or even express services utilising the KPE after it is fully opened for 4 years already.
