One lucky day for me I took a KUB on 101 it just nice had 2 PIW occupying same time.... for 1 bus stop LOL
I believe if the company(both) were to use some time, do their homework, there would be lesser complains. Perhaps deploying LF buses(Citaro) to routes that serve more elderly people or ply near any Temple/CC/Old Folks home. Whereas the LE buses, perhaps deploy to CBD services since most of the working people are young. Whereas the "half half" one, probably a mixture of both LE/LF buses.

This probably meant why Bt Merah is flooded with Citaros instead of KUBs, but good thing as Bt Merah is also described as "人区".

Not only that, if drivers are given a "relax" timetable, I believe complains will be lesser.

I have this feeling that SBST deploy KUBs and Citaros according to their old buses.
If you remember taking the old SBST O405s, you will realise that the KUBs are the ones which replace them, in most cases.
But again, doesn't have to be necessary this case. Just an assumption.

What SMB228X means is that Citaros is the best, and he's not at all referring to the other low floor bus.

Yeah
For SBST,
I think low floor buses more suitable for feeders/Townlink like those in Bedok, Bukit Merah, Toa Payoh and AMK..
Low entry suitable for trunk service like 27,36,48...But actually B10Ms are better..
For SMRT, i think both low floor and low entry are ok for all service...

Of course I know he is referring to Citaros that's why I said those words.

I think SBST can better use their low floor buses for trunk services, like the Wrights which have higher capacity. As for LE and LF single deckers, it is better to be evenly spready out between feeders and trunk services, if feeder services have good services and trunk services have a good mix with double deckers.
SMRT wise better that they use more LE for their feeders and use less bendy buses. LE and LF for trunk services and hopefully they switch to double deckers for feeders and some high capacity trunk services.

I'm talking about Single decks/rigids...
For service 27, low entry buses are better. Citaros are total disaster on this service..
Depends on which service...920 and 922 are doing good with low floor buses...

For SMRT wise, mixture of it would be better. But it all depends also.
851 uses mostly OC500LEs with only 2 permanent Citaros, although I frequently see other Citaros doing 851, especially SMB143G.
I think low-floor buses such as Citaros, or hopefully MAN A22 are cool and more suitable for services such as 851.
But no difference with OCs, in terms of the no. of passengers.

People won't move to the top deck on feeders... with the exception of Boon Lay and Bedok feeders... However, look at 241A...

You are absolutely wrong and outdated.
I went Tampines interchange last Thursday night and observed 291. Surprising many people are moving up to the double deck. The first Wright was fully seated in the upper deck with the lower deck filled to the brim. About 10 mins later, another CDGE B9TL has both upper and lower decker almost evenly spread out although the load is about 30 to 40 passengers.
I guess it all takes time for people to adjust. Once they are all right, more people are willingly to move upstairs. So your logic of people not moving upstairs is outdated.

Well, it depends on:
1. Where the passengers are alighting. If they are alighting after one or two stops I dun think they will bother climbing upstairs.
2. The number of passengers. If lower deck really full then got to climb up the upper deck, bo bian lah.
I dun think you are wrong to say that but I also dun think that TIB 501 D's opinions are wrong as well, so yeah.
Anyway, dun use the words "absolutely wrong and outdated". That is totally demoralizing.

I think he should go observe the situation now for Tampines feeders before commenting on what happend in the past.
I observe the situation for the Wright on 291. Many people just move upstairs even the lower deck has no standees and not even fully seated. The situation however surprised me a bit.
Alright, let's get back to the topic.
Lets make a fair comparison. Wright Low floor or wright low entry better?

To me it doesn't matter whether it is low-entry or low-floor but I still prefer low-floor.
