Discuss about it here. It's my f1rst time opening a proper discussion topic to the public!
I prefer Voiths... ZFs are too jerky for me, especially for citybus operations where there are alot of start-stop conditions.
I prefer ZF's nice howling sound, but I like the CDGEs, Wrights and SMRT Citaros voith(those dual-transmission models).
I also like SMB136C's ZF but not the SMRT PB Citaro's ZF.
the ZFs on the MAN A22s are not too jerky compared to the O405s or Citaros.... but with the Voith it'll be even less jerkier and more musical (the whistling from the turbochargers, the retarder and the voith screaming!)

Which model's voith is the best?

the Voith DIWA 864.5 for teh MAN NL323Fs
For me:
Habits - Voith
VSO - ZF (Like SBS9888Y)
B10Ms - ZF
Citaros - ZF
Leylands/Volvo Olympians - ZF
KUBs - ZF
B9TL - ZF
Lazy to list down all..
But i like the Leyland Atlantean Alexander R gearbox, sounds like manual..
ZF are faster, can speed. Voith sucks at top speed..

for sg top speed doesn't really matter except for express or highway services. brisk and jerkless acceleration IMO are far more important

ZF Gearboxes have very high torque and gives jerks to gear changes, good for the fast acceleration buses.
Voith Gearboxes have a smoother acceleration and high RPM but has a slower acceleration than the ZF gearboxes.
Kudos to the habits' ZF, my childhood memory!
Joyriding 963 and 960 tmr, also gonna observe the trees along Dunearn Rd!
ZF on Volvo B10M MK2 sounds the nicest!
What's so interesting about the trees?
For me it's obviously voith. Love the whistling and screaming of it on the tridents/DM3500. Somehow, the voiths made the DM3500/some DMs the only quiet Volvo buses among the whole Volvo fleet of SBS.
ZF :
Volvo B10M MkIV [ DM : SBS948S ]
Scania K230UBs [ Demonstrator : SBS8888D ]
Leyland Olympian
Voith :
Volvo B10M MkIV [ DM 3500 : SBS2779A, SBS2785G ]
Volvo B9TL [ CDGE : SBS7488G, WRIGHT : SBS3196A, SBS7652Z, SBS7709U ]
Volvo B10TL [ Volgren : SBS9810X, CDGE : SBS9889U ]
Volvo B10M - ZF (nice sounds)
Volvo B10TL - ZF (faster acceleration)
Volvo B9TL - ZF (faster acceleration)
Leyland/Volvo Olympian - ZF or Voith also can
MB Citaro - ZF (like SMB136C)
Scania K230UB - Voith (not so jerky due to less gear changes)
Dennis Trident - Voith (nice whistling sounds)

I'm observing the low tree branches that is a height constraint to the DDs. That's way DD cannot be deployed on 48 and 66. But I saw 66 DD b4.

As far as I know, there's no Scania K-series buses fitted with a Voith gearbox, only seen ZFs (mostly ZF Ecomats).
