In sgwiki updated on 26th August, 2012 - I noticed quite a few service improvements.
2 DDs have been added to svc 2 (2 SDs have been taken out)
2 DDs have been added to svc 86 (total of 4 DDs now, 2 SDs have been replaced)
1 DD added to svc 163 (1 SD replaced, total of 3 DDs)
1 DD added to svc 31 (Fleet addition)
1 DD added to svc 12 (Fleet addition)
1 more SD converted to DD on svc 161 (only 1 SD left - close to becoming a full DD fleet)
1 DD added to svc 59 (replacing 1 SD)
3 DD added to svc 43 (this happened in July though)
On the other hand, 2 DDs have been taken off svc 10, 1 DD taken off svc 56, 78, 179.
Quite a few service improvements already for this quarter from SBST. Your thoughts?
now 163 has 5 DDs running daily.
and all are perms. so 3 more DDs are added actually.

Are you sure? Wow. Within 2 months, there have been 3 DDs added. But I am not surprised considering the loading between YCK Road and Sengkang East Way can be anywhere between 80-100 pax during peak hours.
I wonder why people on this forum say 163 doesn't deserve DDs. See for yourself. If it didn't deserve DDs, there wouldn't be 5 perm DDs on it.

yes agree. I believe more DDs will be added.
153 should replace its DDs with SDs and just keep 5 of them(mainly for peak hour uni-directional loading).
Those DDs can then go to the other needy HGDEP services.

Like which needy HGDEP services?

I think there are a lot, I'm not sure which one needs the DDs the most...

That is funny, bro. You need to be specific on which bus #. If you say take out DDs from 153, which routes do you want to deploy them on?

I was thinking of deploying them on 113, but many people kinda disagree.
Maybe exchange 153's DDs(not all) for 74's SDs?

Ha ha... That was a safe one buddy. Since you know everyone is talking about more DDs on 74, you want to move 153 DDs to 74 ;)
I53 definitely deserves DDs if you are going to hand them over to 113. I am in favor of DDs for long haul routes rather than feeder.
Imagine on a long haul route if you have to go in a cramped bus - very uncomfortable, compared to feeder where a person may just have to stand for 3-4 stops.
There's no need DDs for 113. There's other feeder service deserves more like 238, 268..

238 DD trial failed. No DDs can be deployed due to tight turns. 268 deserves them though.

Tight turns at Braddell Road and Lorong 8 Toa Payoh?
Lor 7 right turn to Lor 8.

re route 74 to Caldecott MRT Station or has a 74m operate from Caldecott MRT Station to Nee Ann ploy.

56 should not remove any DD bus it always has many people boarding the bus in toa payoh center or detour 57 to toa payoh instead of lor 6 and go out of toa payoh. Also 238 has many SDs bus than most feeder service in toa payoh so no need DDs the route is too shot.

use LTA fund to widen it !!.
SBS3105M [ HGDEP 43 ] [ HGDEP 43/43A* ]
Consistently on 43A no matter the case.
Crossovers to 43A during AM PEAK only.

You dont understand why people take 74?
Because it goes the fastest way from Bukit Timah to AMK?
Work with LTA ai mai, to try to find out?

LTA fund being used to dig expensive holes and curve the surrounding roads.
18 billion for Thompson, 20 billion for DTL.

My friend, I agree that 238 has good frequency, and there is no need for DDs for this feeder route. Coming to 57, it is the only trunk route on Lor 6, why would you want to remove it? Have you seen the loading on 57 in morning peak at Lor 6 towards Novena. It is the high loading point for 57.
56 on the other hand has a loading of 60-70 pax and the 3 DDs are used for specific loading times at Marine Center. I don't warrant increase of DD fleet on 56.

Why would you want 74 to be re-routed? That would inconvenience so many.
You can take 132, 156 from Caldecott to Police Academy and switch to 151, 154 to Nee Ann Polytechnic. It is faster, and good frequency with good # of DDs also.

Even though 43 got 3 more buses added in, the frequency of it still sucks literally.
Was waiting at Macpherson Stn Bus Stop today, just nice SBS8447T cameoing on 43 broke down there. I checked with iris, next bus 30min.
Those pessangers affected are very fed up waiting and took 154, 28, 76, 80, 70 away. Got another malay uncle also got very fed up waiting. In the end SBS6226C arrived.
