If SBS cannot do anything about 27, they still can introduce a new service, similar to BPS1, but for SBST, it is named 27M [ Parallel Service 27 ] to ply 27's route from Hougang -> Tampines Int [LOOP] and back. While many Tampines crowd near Tampines Interchange can take 27M, rather than take 27. This can relieve about 50-70% of the Tampines Crowd. While those taking 27 further away from Tampines Int, can still choose to take 27. And for those heading to CGA, like what BA said, introduce 27E. Plies Hougang Int > Buangkok MRT > Sengkang > Tampines > Changi Airport Ter 3. It must ply some Tampines stop if not it should just be a new service from Hougang straight to CGA. This should NOT loop in Changi Airport. If not, the purpose of 27M is lost. Best is to make SBST introduce 27M first.
LTA should just reorganise all the airport bus routes under one double decker friendly air con interchange which is centralised and bigger than the current 3 roadside terminals.

Why can't you relax and let people have their own opinions and ask their questions without thinking "Oh, what will service_238 think?"
Chill, dude :-))

Sure. That's another option. You can have roadside bus stops at Changi - safer and better.
But I dont think there is even a plan to construct a DD or bendy friendly AC terminal.

You need 2 of the 3. My recommendation is 27M and 27E (Ofcourse 27M would be renumbered as 27).
But it may not make sense from a resources point of view to have 27, 27M and 27E.
I think even if we can modify 27 to loop at Tampines Ave 1 or terminate at Tampines Int via Tampines Ave 4 with DD fleet, it will resolve the worries of many. Especially it is very uncomfortable when you are standing in a cramped bus all the way from Tampines to Punggol Road. You need DDs for long-haul routes.
What is so difficult in implementing this? We all speak about QoS. This is REAL QoS for us. And either way there is 34 that goes through most of 27's route on the Tampines side. Increase a bus or two on it if required.

I would love to work for them. I currently work as a Marketing Director. If you see good positions, keep me posted. Cheers!

Best solutions :
1. Introduce 27M to stop in Tampines Int.
2. Make a new bus interchange in PTB 2 that is high enough to accomodate double deckers. Pessangers can access PTB 3 and PTB 1 with the CGA Shuttle/Skytrain.
No need all this la. Current situation fine already.

People have complained on 27 for like years... Nothing is done. The downroute is useless as they just happily overtake the first bus and the purpose of the downroute is useless.
The only people complaining is Bus Anal.

I don't use 27 - doesn't matter to me. It is just a suggestion looking at the loading, and the way people are packed like sardines.
I still feel 27 to Tampines Int, 27E to Changi makes a lot of sense.
Few days ago(Sunday)...
SMB134H - 911
SMB262X - 911E
SMB127D - 911
SMB128B - 911E
All 4 bunch up together while going back WRI, from checkpoint .___."
Are they 4 911 bendies bunching together? OOO LA LA

LTA is hopeless. What have they done after they take over as centralise bus planner. Nothing - except every quarter says that buses and that route has added more buses and bigger capacity buses are deployed. Fair for SBST but how about the bloody SMRT bus services.
My observations
147- Bunches frequently due to scheduling issues.
196- Bunches frequently due to high loading.
197- Bunching is uncommon.
167- I would laugh if it bunches.
175- Bunching is rare.
961- Bunches frequently due to messed up scheduling.
65- Bunches frequently due to good frequency and high loading.
123- Bunches frequently, also due to scheduling issues.
131- Bunches frequently due to high loading.
195- Bunches frequently, high loading, poor frequency.
275- CAN NEVER BUNCH
855- Bunching is rare.
My observations outside my house...
43 - Bunches rarely, in both directions. More often is at PM Peak towards Punggol.
In morning, 43 and 43A bunches up often.
88 - Bunches extremely common in both direction. Easier to spot towards Toa Payoh. During NSL breakdown, 100% bunching occur.
101 - Rarely bunches up at Buangkok Link area, where it does the U-Turn. Normally bunches up once is a while. When it bunches, there is usually a strider.
156 - Only bunches in Sengkang direction. Rarely bunches up towards Clementi due to the proximity of Sengkang Int.
325 - Never bunches, even during NSL/NEL breakdown. I only remembered ONE time it bunches here - SBS8616Y and SBS880C bunched up. Only site of bunching : Punggol Primary.
325 only bunched up 2 times from what I saw in my lifetime.
1. SBS8616Y & SBS880C
2. SBS1970U & SBS1937S
291, a townlink based in Tampines, has an extremely erratic frequency.
When you want one, need wait super long then 2-4 DD/SD come together.
When you don't want one, many many many pass by you.
Buses observed at Serangoon:
22 - rarely bunches, but when I have seen, a B9TL/Vo3x follows a SD and that is very iritating, coz the SD is packed to brim, and DD behind has just 20-30 pax.
24 - bunches frequently. you will see two 24s together. I think this is to distribute the load considering that 24 has DD worthy loading
70 - bunches frequently. You will not have a bus for 15 mins, and then there will be two B9TLs
43 - haven't observed bunching yet
76 - does not bunch, but there are times when the 2nd bus comes in 2-3 mins of the first one. In this case, the 2nd one is completely empty
58 - haven't observed bunching
136 - haven't seen it bunch
53 - bunches frequently. I think reason is similar to 24s
147 - bunches frequently. The reason is the long route from Clementi, so by the time it comes to Serangoon, bunching is very common
153 - haven't seen bunching
133 - bunching is not common, but in the morning at Bugis you can see 2 buses together or in an interval of 2 mins towards Shenton Way
135 - bunching is not common
45 - bunching is rare
