There are still regoless Citaros in C&Cs...guess as per what is told in the Wrights thread, SG1000G to SG1079E are all bought by LTA and in actual, the quota is still not yet complete!

LTA got problem? They should have bought additional A22s, not Citaros!

So exactly how many are bought?

Not forgetting 1691-1699 . So 1000-1071 n 1691-1699 are additional order? 1000 might be out though (might be from the initial SBST ordered batch)
seem like that LTA also bought additional 38 or 39 units of A22 if go by the rego range? 1738 onwards was registered separately. So the gap might be additional order ?
Why on earth are we holding on to the 2011 taros?
So long yet no newer models?

Bulk order... Surprised MB still chose to continue production for old model just for SG...

That was what I suppose...no news of LTA taking over those new orders other than BSEP buses before 1st September, that's why they can assign buses to different companies at their discretion before that date. For A22 it's more like rego skip instead since the number tally with the total purchase.
if all the bus painted green. all buses will be shared. as we paid for the bus as tax player
Surprisingly A22 is also 2011 model... Contrary to beliefs by some users...
wouldve been nice if our citaros here wasnt restricted so badly, wouldve been good. and also better air con.
so many citaros, shouldve just ordered the remaining as c2 euro6...
btw, why did mb stop producing dd
What's the big difference between NL283F and NL323F beside HP/Torque?Vertical?Longitudal?NL283F Euro 6/NL323F Euro 6 im talking about here as there is no Euro 5 for NL283F..Rear also 4 seats right?

True,I have tried one GA SG plate Citaro used for EB and the acceleration is way better than others,Top speed also around 61kmh but still can overtake other buses effortless

Engines, the NL283F uses the smaller 6.8l D0836LOH vertical engine, while the NL323F uses the larger 10.5l D2066LUH horizontal engine. The 280hp D08 is available as an Euro 5 EEV compliant engine. There is no difference in interior configuration.
Though it seems for the developed countries in Asia-Pacific, the 320hp D20 engine seems to be recommended over the D08 for public bus usage. The MAN distributors in Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore have only bought into their markets the D20 engine for 12m public bus usage.

Its more like MB never produced a DD specific chassis at all. The O.305 was a single deck chassis that was adapted for use as a double deck in just 3 markets-HK, Singapore and South Africa, with SBS being the largest customer. I don't think they are interested in the already crowded DD market.

Not really a good comparison here, the Citaro is a complete bus product where the general look of the bus remains largely the same across all customers, the C1 facelift Citaro has been around since 2005, For the Citaro, you either choose the C1 facelift or the C2, not much choices here.
On the other hand, the A22 is a chassis product which allows customers to fit their body of choice, ultimately this means the customers have a lot more choices in how their buses will look. If a customer wants an older front for parts commonality, then its their choice. If however the customer wants a new front or an entirely different body manufacturer, they could do so, and the end product will be a different looking bus.

Nope.

That option could be for the European market. AFAIK, for buses in this region, anything below 320hp is covered by the D08.
LTA should opt for the A69 also preferably with 290hp/1100nm..6900cc.

The closest you can get is the Wright StreetDeck or Optare MetroDecker. But neither has made it to the Asia-Pacific market.

The difference between A69 and A22 is low-entry and low-floor respectively.
The latest Voith A22s in Singapore have the exact same engine and transmission as the world's first Euro V A69 unit, delivered 2009, in Australia:
As far as I am aware, MAN/STK does not recommend the D08 engine for the Singapore citybus market anymore. The D08 engine had its chance with SBS8031J years earlier.

May i know why the A69 doesn't suit Singapore City?Even with 290hp/1100nm?

Well you could get a Citaro C2 in Euro V (in fact, the only option for Singapore):
So does it really matter if it's C2 or not? I can't blame the lobbyists for digging its looks (just as you would stare at a hot lady), but I think SBS Transit knew what it wanted when it chose the older option.
