How come SMRT is the one getting the Citaros when SBST is the one that need to maintain buses services after September because of buses going over to Go-Ahead?

SBS has buses going over to Go-Ahead, but don't forget that the SBS operating region becomes smaller, ie the number of buses SBS need will be lesser as compared to if they kept Pasir Ris and Punggol.
Q: In total, roughly how many Mercedes Citaro has been ordered?

The other single decker model, MAN A22, got around 712 units. If Mercedes Citaro is 1k, then this means around 1,712 units in total. Should be enough for around 9.5 packages, considering each uses around 180 units of single decker.
In future, there should be one more single decker bus model here.
because in total there are around 14 packages, requiring around 2,520 SDs. Even if MAN A22 got around 288 more units and also hit 1k, still need around 520 units of another model.
This is assuming every model maximum can only have 1k units (because otherwise why B9TL no new order, but instead MAN A24 keep ordering?).
Well, just saying.

The other single decker model, MAN NL323F has 732 units and Citaro is about 1100 units, that means they need record beating.
SBS Transit is replacing Batch 1 and 2 Euro IV K230UBs with Batch 1 and 2 Euro V K230UBs that is due for de-registration in 2026 and 2027 for 160 & 170.
Can consider Euro V Scania N250UB or Volvo B9L..Or Euro VI Citaro C2,Scania N250UB Euro VI or NL283F Euro VI..

I hope the KUBs can be replaced by 60% DDs, probably the K320UDs and E500s.
The rest can be Citaro C2 or Volvo B8RLE

All arrived alr, no more new ones...
After 5 years the mayhem is finally over...
Actually,Citaro can considered good bus along with other Euro buses...Its our LTA regulation that restricted the bus potential,I don't mind the 60kmh capped but please don't meddle with the bus 1st gear,Only make the buses feel worse.
