I dont think SBST is interested..Standardise as in bodywork form LOL

Cycle and Carriage has already started listing the Citaro C2 on its website since 2014, and do note that only the Euro V iteration of the Citaro C2 is offered in Singapore (i.e. you get the C2's body and features sans the Euro VI engine).
On a somewhat irrelevant note, the Euro V Citaro C2s actually look slightly different from the Euro VI Citaro C2s, but that is just limited to the rear.

I cannot quite agree with such 'standardization' as PTOs should have a minimum of spares to maintain for "integral" vehicles like the Citaro. Granted that the vehicle comes CBU, along with the manufacturer's massive inventory network (extra brownie points if you can positively identify the lights and items used from OEM catalogues), minimal inventory and maintenance is actually needed for such vehicles (unless you bork a major component like an engine, HVAC compressor so on so forth).
To distill the issue, its really a case of 'how major a maintenance the operators should undertake'. If the operators are doing the usual 10,000km/UQM/AVI, little really needs to be done as long as the BCs dont get into an RTA. If something major is borked, the vehicle should be going to the dealer UNLESS the PTO takes it upon itself to fully restore the vehicle (which is quite unlikely given depot space and the level of expertise of its technical crew).
That is another side of the story but SBST Citaros are too slow compared to SMRT SMB148T Voith Citaro..The first gear seem like "Stuck" so sluggish..

that seems to confirm rumours that SMB148T's transmission was changed ;)
Its a world apart for performance between SBST Citaros and SMRT ones..Seem like the first gear is restricted preventing the buses to have smooth fast acceleration..Safety reason again
there are some new unregistered Citaros (without SBST Logo) parking inside Loyang Depot..

on the other hand, there are at least 10 unregistered citaros at pandan C&C
also, got 1 unknown citaro on repair. mechanics hoist the whole bus up & repair at the engine part of the bus, with the engine cover open

Yeaps. 6x new Citaros parked inside the area of Loyang depot currently. This has been the case since about 2 weeks ago.
The thing to note, is that they're only parked at the completed open-air lots, while the multi-storey workshop (& i think admin building) is still under construction.
Likely SBST is just storing them there for now till BNDEP has enough space for these new Citaros. Or maybe they're meant for other depots as well, but just storing them there for now if Sembawang Wharves is full already with other unregistered Citaros.

if the SBST buses consistently accelerate slower than the SMRT ones, you can almost certainly confirm that SBST did some or all of the following to its Citaros:
1) engine detuning
2) torque limitation in gear 1
3) transmission programming to Eco-mode
the SMRT Voith and SBST Citaros (at least the first 150) are mechanically similar, hence you can rule out differences in drivetrain performance affecting their acceleration.
Now applied to almost all of SBST buses..With the exception of some buses..I know a couple of svc 27 Citaros that can exceed 60kmh mark..That bus also be used for employee bus.
Last time during i was a BC,We a handful of bunch knew how to make those B10Ms/N113CRBs/VO3Xs speed on expressway..Nowadays its all electronic control..

Which district is Loyang Depot classified under? East like AM BN(CG)/BR or West like AR/BB and SL

more than 60kmh downslopes I believe?
as long as the gearbox has no failsafe that prevents re-engaging at high speed, should be able to speed to 60kmh then shift to N?

Yeah, I agree with you. Nowadays it's hard to find any newer buses that can go beyond the 60kmh limit on level roads. At most it's up to 65kmh.
Only the older ones (Mk4s, VO3xs) can still go beyond the speed limits on expressways. Especially those on the FFw services (the Sv 10e & 89e VO3xs). I've only spotted a few CDGE B9TLs that can go beyond the speed limit on expressway stretches..

Err, I suppose geographically wise, it's counted as East district. Also IIRC someone mention before that Loyand Depot is supposed to replace BNDEP in some way or another..

Its between complementing Bndep and Hgdep.Future Changi Depot is meant for Bndep replacement.

Ah, I see. Thanks for the clarification.
