Is there any rule that say new buses must die die to be allocated as fleet add only ? Amdep have less than 30 spares buses in march. Now they take in new buses to supplement fleet add n increase their spare buses fleet. As usual amdep usually dun like to put new buses as spare. Usually they will put them as perm n put kub as spare as kub is more common n driver can easily drove them.

same here also as i hv already mention on earlier post ! see now many AMDEP KUBs to SP liao ! ( 26 SP Kubs)
Amdep have little bit mk4 only. So if they dun put kub as spares then put wat as spares ? I dun mind they transfer kub to hgdep n get mk4 in return. But problem is amdep dun have rectangular side desto for many services n not all drivers are familiar With mk4. Put citaro as spare u all complain. Put kub as spare also complain. Then can put wat as spare?

well i think all this u hv already mentioned b4 liao well i dun mind HGDEP waiting for the coming of new citaros than taking this AMDEP SP Kubs !
furthermore seem like AMDEP dun like too many kubs on their svcs also now keep replacing this kubs to citaros to the svcs and throw this kubs as SP .
Maybe put Citaros as spares more better
Passed by C&C ytd nite and guess what i saw, SBS 6008R (BR 28) parking at the side where usually the new citaros parked at. Wonder what happen to this bus.

SBS 6690U TO AMDEP-ON SERVICE 135 today. Credits to Singapore buses

From AMDEP I suppose, currently no citaros in WLDEP.
Too bad HGDEP still have not take in any citaros yet
I'm not sure if it's the case for the rest of the SBST Citaro fleet, but did anyone notice that the BCs driving the Citaros no longer floor the buses to activate the kickdown (aka the turbo boost sound) in the 1st 2 gears anymore?
I'm asking because over at my side, it seems so for all the Citaros i've sat or seen in the past month alone. Even the usual BCs who like to floor the Citaros usually on Sv 53 or 109 no longer do so..so I'm thinking did MB issue some directive to ban the practice?

Interesting observation there. It's unlikely that MB issued any directive to disable the kickdown since there is no reason for them to do so unless it causes fire, or loss of control, etc.
But sbst can perform this setting electronically to it's fleet of citaros if it is found that the kickdown results in bus captains being overly aggressive when driving.

I don't think it causes fire or a loss of control. But I do think that prolonged activation of the kickdowns is detrimental to the engine in the long-run, given how the turbo & engine has to spool faster & at a prolonged period in the lower gears than the rev range it was designed at optimally..
SBS6413D (BNDEP)
Out on Sv 354 today. Replacing 6357H's timings.
6413D is without rim covers though. 6407Y & 6408U are still with rim covers.
Still seeing 6008R in C&C parking at the outside.. Wonder what has happen to it? I dont see any accident marks at all.
Maybe engine faulty or some other things
Citaros sometimes A/C too hot?
