  Seems like it is your first time taking buses. This kind of seating arrangement has been in Singapore buses since the 1980s. From Leyland Atlanteans, Mercedes Benz O305 lower deck rear reats to Mercedes Benz O405 front wheel seats, Volvo B10M DM MK II, DM MKIII, DM MKIV to the new Volvo B9TLs and Mercedes Benz Citaros.

  Not many people complain about such seating arrangement for the past 30 years.

  10.10am, 4.50pm  at Sengkang Int.
  5.30pm at Punggol Int.
  
  Feel free to add on.
  
  Total journey for svc 83 is around 30mins. (Punggol to Sengkang) Return journey also same 30mins. (Sengkang to Punggol)

  That is not awkward as the wheels take up much space too. If you look closely, if the 2 rear facing-seats were made to face forward, the seat will have to be like those MkIIIs, pop out a lot. Which is totally undesirable. Therefore, the seats are made rear-facing. The KUBs however, have high-floors at the rear, which covers the gap between the seats and the wheels. Thats why KUBs does not have rear-facing seats.
  
  Your argument is invalid - It is the MANUFACTURER which makes awkward seats and NOT SBST! SBST BUYS them but didnt MAKE them!

  Then wear a gas mask lol. The smell is not that bad. SBS do not make the seats  And it's because of the wheels,if you want to complain then go and design a bus yourself lol jkjk

  I used to call Dennis Lance as Soldier bus.  Because last time i always saw it at Pasir Ris, sending boys to Pulau Tekong..
