See!!! DD is totally banned from going airport!!
Bendy can go SMRT deploy bendy to airport before!!!!!

U know where's T4 & T5?
you want buses to continue making 1 round even to T5?

which routing air show used?
which routing this diversion using?
From ST:
An exit road out of the Changi Airport Terminal 1 basement has been closed off due to repair work on a maintenance platform attached to the Skytrain track.
Workers were conducting routine checks early yesterday morning when they noticed that the platform was sagging slightly.
Located right above a stretch of the T1 basement exit road, it is currently propped up by metal scaffolding, which has blocked off the road to traffic.
A spokesman for Changi Airport Group (CAG) said the closure was a precautionary measure, and stressed that the area is safe. The exit road is expected to reopen by July 31.
rectification works on something that's collapsing???

How u know it's collapsing??? This is not a trivial claim u could be taken to task by CGA and held accountable for whatever you say!!!

it's sagging reported on the ST article... and, do you know how they support that platform????
in fact, onboard bus ytd, I noticed T3 to T2 (the restricted area exclusive side) some of the supporting fasterners are alrdy rusty...
oh ya
228 dunno abt the T2 issue obviously...
It's narrowed because of the building of T3 Skytrain...
Ok then.. remove the T3 skytrain lor...
everything dunno just anyhow whack...
Some idiots still think bendies can use the roads there. Took 24 just now, the small narrow roads are barely wide and long enough for bendy buses. Some roads are so short that a 12m bus already fill up the road without blocking other adjecent roads. Some places have pretty sharp turns. If the bendy buses uses these roads, confirm mount kerbs. And these cases are heard before when these buses were used on the airshow shuttle in the airport.
And the sharp U turn from ECP to the small road to T2 is extremely narrow and very short and dangerous even for 12m buses. The 24 bus I was in was trying hard to clear the U-turn carefully, trying not to mount kerb and at the same time clear the path as fast as possible while trying not to block the fast traffic behind.
The temp berthing place is only big enough for 12m buses as well. Same as those underground terminals.
Some people never took the ride yet want to talk so much.
Ah let those idiots rot for all I care.Think they knew everything.Im not surprised if one day one of them become big time criminal. They love to twist facts defending every bit and pieces they claim it's true.More worse they got no moral,Simply nitpick on you although clear cut they're in the wrong..I wish all the best for these clown of dooms bad of luck in their coming years
not surprised... cos e way kids are learning things these days are pretty telling...
Originally posted by No_10_Tomas:the temporary arrangement of berthing at departure hall is for alighting only...no boarding allowed at T1, passengers at T1 who want to take bus have to go to T2 or T3 via skytrain
Actually you're only half correct. After 10pm or so, they allowed people to board from T1 Departure Hall instead. I saw this for myself yesterday.
And depending on how fast your bus is going, that diversion easily takes up 10minutes more from T3 to T2. I took both 6173X & 8609T yesterday from T3 on 2 occasions, 6173X took around 5mins+ more for the diversion cause he was early, even though he did floor a little. 8609T took 10mins to go along the diversion from T3 to T2 instead.
It is strange but some of the most well-used and high loading bus routes terminate / loop at airport.
24, 27, 36, 53 - all of whom could be best used as DDs considering the high pax / volume on these routes. It is unfortunate that all of them go to Changi airport and cannot be used as DDs.

Only certain stretch of the route are heavily utilized
They make do with short trips along high-demand corridors
In my opinion, i don't see the need for the buses to ply all three terminals. In the past, budget terminal was not served by these buses also.
Applying the same logic on MRT, trains don't go to every terminal also
I'd rather they construct a DD-friendly mega bus interchange where all the buses terminate near one of the terminals

Not true:
27 has high loading all the way from Sengkang to Tampines (if there is a DD, there might not be need for 27A)
36 has high loading from Marine Parade all the way to Tomlinson (if there is a DD, there is no need for 36A)
53 has high loading from Bishan to Serangoon and again Serangoon to Pasir Ris (though frequency is 05 minutes)
I agree we need a DD-friendly bus interchange, and not one in the basement which is inconvenient.
