So 106-11 to 13 starts from BB on all days?
If 970 goes to AMDEP don't make sense because 970 doesn't have the history of going under AMDEP whereas 106 has under S'goon before.

Sometimes I need to catch the timing of a bendy bus arrival right, like what I'm doing now for 851.
854 no problem catching bendies lar off peak also 6 minimum.67 peak hours easy to catch. You try 61 Am peak for Kj side bendy la like catch no ball.851 you can try between 0700-0815.169 also easy during peaks.Troublesome is the sole 167 bendy as someone claimed here.187 also challenging nowadays.

That time duty AM12 my friend start from Shenton Way leh..History is history. Now they're BBT-SWT so it's still possible for Amdep.Think that's d only starter that start from SWT and 1 Split also. But they still change duties there no matter the other 4 buses start from BBT.Majority of the SLs live near Rochor,Beach Rd,Lor 1,Kallang etc.As far as I'm concern there's no 106 Amdep SLs live in Yishun or Sembawang.

Now 180 still loop at BNL?

Now still the same? 106-11 goes to start on BB on all days, 12 13 14 15 16 at SWT?
12 13 BB on weekends/PH if I can remember correctly,

TIB838H you can try 180
but for a regular box bendy 184 and 964 are better choices. 180 oso got quite a no. of mk2 bendies...

Yes
180 has 11 buses, 6 box bendies, 5 MK2 'smiley' bendy

that's the reason why 184 and 964 are better choices for MK1
Since SBS2656X never taken mk2 bendy he can try 180.

Afaik there's only 2 blocks start from Shenton Way during Weekdays. The other 4 all start from BBT.I would love if Amdep take back a few blocks for 190,My friend was an ex-Amdep 190 driver too.

184 if wanna catch a MK1 bendy better to take on weekdays. On weekends most of them (or is it all?) is replaced with OACs.
TIB1089X on 187

Oooh, nice, when did you take this photo?
Had been catching up with bendies on Service 851 recently. This time I board them 3 days in a row. All of them are permanent bendies of 851. Sometimes there is really a need to catch the arrival time of the bendies right.
Last Thursday (12 July 2012), I boarded this bendy after letting 2 buses SMB78L and TIB523R run. It was 1800 then.
This is the interior of the bendy I boarded, fitted with OC Passenger Information System, OC Seats of course. There aren't many people then so the trip is more comfortable. If you were to spot the ad of this bus on the window, the answer is pretty obvious which bus this is: TIB1096A!
Finally, when I alighted at Little India MRT Station, I took the photo of this bendy's exterior.
This is TIB1096A. Note that its EDS is changed to a Mobitec one. It also has a Hispano Logo at the front bumper. The rims are shiny and look different from typical ones as well (It is suspected that the rims are changed during the change of EDS). Its President's Challenge 2011 Ad is retained till today!
Bendies of 851 alternates every week, you will expect a different bendy (But still a bendy) on the particular shift every week. Hope you guys like it!
3 Days continuous on 851 bendies started for me. Just want to share my experience on bendies, not trying to boast anything, yeah.
On Tuesday (17 July 2012), I boarded this bendy. It came by luck, and I boarded it straight away. The time is approximately 1600 then.
Like any bendy bus fans will do, I chiong to the rear seats. Because of the time, there are just so few people. You may wonder why the bendy is still deployed anyway. Actually, it is meant to accomodate more passengers on its return trip to Yishun Int during PM Peak Hours. New seats, the PIS is not changed but still working. This bus is TIB1099S.
Out of the blue I encountered another 851 OC SMB73A on the same road, same direction while on TIB1099S. Just to verify with you guys, a bendy will operate after SMB73A only starting from afternoon shift(1500 while leaving Yishun Int). In the morning Weekday peak hours, you only get to encounter the same bendy after SMB79J, between these 2 timing you don't get to see this particular bendy in 851 at all. SMB73A is carrying the Mentholatum Acnes ad during then, and it is fitted with black rims, but unfortunately I didn't manage to capture a photo of this bus, the eldest Batch 2 OC500LE in Service 851.
This is TIB1099S's exterior taken at Little India MRT Station.
EDS is changed to a Mobitec one.
If you notice all the bendies in 851, TIB1099S is currently the only 851 permanent bendy with its rim guards retained and is still intact till today. All the other 851 bendies and many others in AMDEP did not enjoy such a luxury. Anyway, this is just a sharing of rim guards for those who are interested and you may not find it uncommon if you are a bendy bus fan of KJDEP and WLDEP (cos rim guards are common in those depots.)
I saw both SMB73A and TIB1099S operating today again in 851, multiple buses together at one go. It is a pleasuring sight, especially to see one OC500LE with black rims with rim guards, and a bendy with black rims with rim guards. Looks interesting, usually it's kind of hard to see this though.
I will continue posting of my subsequent trips tomorrow. Got to take a rest! Hope you guys like my photos still!
851 is very prone to bunching up at the weirdest times.
I had encountered 4 851s back-to-back on a weekday afternoon before, among the more interesting occurence. 2 empty bendies, 2 empty citaro, coming back from town to yishun.
Jams can't be an excuse because services like 147, while frequency can indeed be erratic, aren't as weird-ass.
Of course gone are the days, when I see 9 147s lining up at HG, coming back from Chinatown at peak hour. I havent seen any service match that till now. And that's 10 years already. The closest was 74, with 7 buses at peak hour, during its full DD fleet days.
