Citaro also same as MAN what..
MAN's problem comes to the upper end... totally cannot stand at all because of where the steps are in reality.

Not all people like to transfer here and there.
MRT is not 100% reliable too.

Should be MAN Lion's City, Lion City refers to Singapore!

the problem with woodlands interchange is that there are too many bus services with bendies while Sembawang and Bt Panjang Int is under-utilized
and a lot of routes towards Woodlands are actually parallel, which you may wonder if it's really neccessary since the distance-based fare computation is already in place
eg.
From Bt Panjang to Woodlands Interchange via Woodlands Road, Ave 3, we have 960 and 961 parallel, one of them could be truncated to terminate at Bt Panjang Int instead, preferably 960 since it got bendies
From Bt Panjang to Woodlands Interchange via BKE, Wdls Ave 3, we have 187, 963 and 966 exactly parallel. Two of the three could be truncated to terminate at Bt Panjang Int instead.
From Gambas Ave to Woodlands Interchange via Ave 7, we have 965 and 969 parallel, one of them could be amended to terminate at Sembawang Interchange instead, preferably 969
Woodlands Interchange is the only one in Singapore where the most number of bendies buses congregate during peak hours!! Out of all 6 interchanges under SMRT purview, woodlands is heavily congested with 25 services all the others are under-utilized
Woodlands - 25 bus services (15 are bendy services)
161, 168, 169, 178, 187, 856, 858, 900, 901, 902, 903, 911, 912, 913, 925, 926, 950,960, 961, 962, 963, 964, 965, 966, 969
Yishun - 16 bus services (9 are bendy services)
39, 85, 171, 800, 804, 806, 811, 812, 851, 852, 853, 854, 855, 856, 857, 859
Choa Chu Kang - 10 bus services (6 are bendy)
67, 172, 188, 190, 300, 302, 307, 925, 927, 985
Bt Panjang Int - 11 bus services (5 are bendy)
75, 176, 177, 180, 184, 700, 920, 922, 970, 971E, 975
Bt Batok Int - 10 bus services (2 are bendy)
61, 77, 106, 173, 177, 189, 852, 941, 945, 947
Sembawang Int - (5 services)
167, 859, 882, 980, 981
We should reduce the services available at Woodlands Interchange to reduce the congestion caused by bendies
161 - duplicates 168 from TPE (Seletar) to woodlands, in my opinion, this service should be truncated to start from Hougang Central and loop at jalan kayu bus stop instead, don't need to go all the way to Woodlands
168 - frequency should be further increased
169 - need not touch
178 - need not touch
187 - should be truncated to terminate at Bt Panjang Int
856 - in my opinion, this service should not terminate at Woodlands Interchange, should just do a loop at Marsiling station, eg. Woodlands centre road, Ave 3, St 11, St 13, centre road
858 - need not touch
900, 901, 902, 903, 911, 912, 913 - need not touch
925 - in my opinion, 925 doesn't need to go to Woodlands, from Sungei Kadut, it can just do a loop at Kranji MRT and U-turn back to CCK
926 - need not touch
950 - need not touch
960 - duplicates 961 from Bt Panjang to Woodlands. In my opinion it can just be truncated to terminate at Bt Panjang Int, doesn't need to go to Woodlands
961 - need not touch
962 - need not touch
963 - need not touch
964 - Should start from Sembawang Int and plies Woodlands Loop
965 - Should start from Sembawang Int since we already have 969 from Woodlands to Gambas Ave
966 - should be truncated to terminate at Bt Panjang Int
969 - need not touch
By making the above amendments, we can reduce 8 bus services at woodlands interchange to alleviate congestion at the interchange
We don't need so many buses in Woodlands as there are already 3 MRT stations serving

Uncle, going on same expressway is called ''duplicating''??
Funny. You think there got another for people from Woodlands to go straight to Hougang?
854?? Stop at Yishun only. Seriously funny. If not why bother deploy DD when it is ''duplicating'' 168? If yes, I would like to hear how to get on to 168 when it express on TPE all the way through Sengkang without stopping.

For those need 161 from woodlands to hougang,
take 168 to jalan kayu (bus stop outside seletar camp) and transfer to 161
If redirected, why not just CANCEL 161 and reroute 103?
actually 161 and 168 can stay unchanged if you prefer
we are just tackling the issue of bendies to alleviate congestion at woodlands regional interchange
Most people want a direct bus service, that's why they take 147 instead of NEL..
There's no need to amend bus services at Woodlands..

And thats why we have both 147 and 165 starting from Hougang together and ends in Clementi together.

Cut up bus routes just for bendy buses?
In that case, I would prefer bendy buses to be given up instead.
Tell u if 960 cut to BPJ then those from Going to work at Wld Roac how?All take 925,962?Or take 1 big round 178?I would prefer if 962,964 start from SBW..Other trunk route dun kacau leh
Amk feeder will only use DD one day if demand burst. 269 is a suitable candidate for DD if demand really go up... Look at premium 549... 3 axle DD alr can pass through st61... Not forgetting the sole perm 2 axle Leyland DD on 269 last time. But I doubt they would put la. Cos always just nice full to the door... Not like boon lay feeder full to the door already got 1 row of ppl waiting for next bus.
Boon Lay feeders all gila Babi ones.I got scared when I see 240 DD loads during peak from my cars,Thought its 98 sekali 240 Wright siol..241 also upper deck all packed.291 another one,222 quite balance
I think 268 deserves to have DD but industrial park cannot go through leh.. Morning peak can kill... Lol.
Leyland Atlanteans were deployed on Sv 269 in 2000 for a brief moment
i think that was due to demand from AJC students

I woudlnt want to touch on 161. As an RP student, I know a lot of RP students took 161 to RP every morning and during PM peak, the crowd consist mostly of students going back home. Same goes for 168. To RP students, Those buses are the direct link to Woodlands,Amending 161 will cause chaos srsly. Just saying from my POV
161 and 168 have such high loads, that passengers cannot transfer at Jalan Kayu to either route. Let these routes be the way they are.
I am getting more inclined that DDs should be put on feeders after seeing how well they are utilized on 291 and 334 to relieve crowds.
In fact even at Boon Lay, 181 and 241 DDs relieve so much crowd. When SDs come, the commuters have to cram into the bus and also wait for the next one to come.
And mind you, people don't mind going to the upper deck on either of these routes. With 550 new Wrights, I feel 181, 241, 242 have potential to have more DDs and introduce DDs on AMK feeders.
To solve problem of bendies at Woodlands, just introduce DDs for long haul routes SMRT.
