WT/Tong Tar/Bedok Tpt combine become Singapore City Bus Ltd and their parent will be Temasek Holdings.Or Singapore City Transport EW/NS/CCL/BPLRT is their multi modal business while SBST with NEL/DTL/SK/PGLRT.
Saw a SMRT Citaro stopping by the side road with no passengers at Jalan Besar in the afternoon. Think there is something wrong with the rear tyre as i saw the rubber skin was detached from the tyre. The tyre brand is dunno what Double Coin brand. How come SMRT Citaros using this unknown tyre brand?
Actually I think SMRT should just give up their buses. They hardly got it right for the past 9 years. Unless they can switch to DDs, which at least will help to improve overall operations by a mile...
Would be better that SBST take over all their bus routes and LRT and SMRT to control all the heavy rail system.
There is hardly any competition anyway. Let LTA, PTO and the public do the regulations on how the basic standards that both SBST (bus and LRT) and SMRT (heavy rail) should achieve and always improve.
I think LTA should go back to the 2004 and before era, whereby SMRT focus on trains only. Either Trans Island comes back with their sunny yellow livery once again, or let SBST take over all the bus routes.
SMRT taking over bus routes in 2004 is really a huge mistake. Still remember all those screw ups in the last decade especially with their mass deployment of Nissan UDs.

I believe this is the reason HGDEP take in many new buses and transfer all the old buses to SLBP, especially with the recent B1 VO3x depot transfers.
