Same is the issue with 64. The looping concept really doesn't work because people at Alexandra Road / Red Hill have to wait forever for a 64 to come. Check iris. You will always see
Next bus: 04 min Subsq bus: 28 min
Then it becomes
Next bus: 25 min Subsq bus: 31 min
If you still monitor further when the 31 min is arriving, the next bus is again 24/25 min away. Horrible time management and scheduling. Thank God for some DDs on this route, that with erratic frequency at least most of the times people are guaranteed a seat.

I think it anyway confuses a lot of people at Tiong Bahru Plaza who are not regular residents. They see Bukit Merah on the display and think it will take them to Bukit Merah but instead it takes them to Bukit Purmei. It is odd in the first place to have the looping so close to the terminal point. But you are right the white/green will again be complicated. Rather the bus can terminate at Harborfront Interchange, and can be an alternate substitute at Bukit Purmei for 131. People will also save coz of distance-fare.
Once the buses terminate at Harbourfront, at least the frequency will be better monitored.
The pax at Bukit Purmei can take 65 or 855 at Lower Delta Road if they want a faster route to HarbourfronT
In my opinion 123 should stay as what it is now.
147 can join the party

123's catchment at tiong bahru plaza is not for those going to bt merah in the first place. there's the more frequent 16 and 851 to begin with.
Last time, 325 had the WORST frequency ever, was like in June.
When I check iris, it said :
NEXT BUS : 26MIN
SUB BUS : 45MIN
How do you expect us to waithalf an hour for a feeder bus? Doesn't make sense.
At least now the frequency of 325 improved ALITTLEBIT, now at LEAST 12min 1 bus.
I had witnessed once at Bukit Panjang Iris next bus that 966 nxt bus is 21 minutes and next bus is 90 mins!!! There is 70 minute gap!

Today for Svc 67, I witnessed after TIB475X had left the bus-stop opposite St. Joseph Church before 1400hrs, the next bus, TIB958U arrives 30 minutes later with TIB557T also on Svc 67...
Most SMRT trunk routes and Bukit Panjang and Sembawang feeders

I know. In fact you have 5 that takes you fastest to Bukit Merah, and you can also opt to take 16 and 851. But I have observed many times passengers getting in for Bukit Merah and then getting out. Not everyone is bus lover, and knows all the bus routes.
