The Citaro² is available in Euro V/EEV or Euro VI versions. The Euro V version utilises the same running gear as later-model Citaro Facelifts (choice of OM 906 hLA or OM 457 hLA and Voith DIWA.5 or ZF-EcoLife)..

How about Citaro 3???
Honestly uh, even if we got the Euro VI version, it shouldn't have much of an impact. You'll see black fumes coming out of the exhaust of Citaros anyway under hard acceleration.

No such thing.
You have the original Citaro which was launched in 1997/1998, then the Citaro Facelift in 2005/2006 and now the Citaro² in 2011/2012.
if they're contemplating a different Citaro model, they would have imported one demonstrator and let it run on our road for a trial spell first
since these 450 citaros are going to be mass-imported, chances are that it's exactly the same model as the existing ones on our roads now

Its just the same existing bus model with mostly cosmetic changes, why would they need to go through the hassle of trialing the bus? And as far as I know Mercedes has ceased production of the facelifted Citaros and has instead focused on producing the Generation 2 Citaros.

I wanna ask, how much does the 450 Citaros cost and how much does the 550 Wrights cost (not total)?
450 CITAROS NOT ENOUGH, MUST BUY 1000 MORE!!!
It's great to hear that SBST is buying more of such good buses to improve their bus services, especially like the Volvo B9TL Wrightbus and Mercedes Benz O530 Citaros. Hope the Citaros will be the new geration ones.
Looking forward in taking them.
I hope the newer citaros will have controllable AC unit for people to adjust and not be like how it is currently.
Wrights again? Seriously. Can look for another type of DD?

Unless SBST can source for Alexander Dennis Enviro 500 bus bodies.
Hope that the new buses will have ZF gearbox.
I foresee VO batch 2/3,MKIVs and probably VSOs will gone earlier in 3 years time

VSO? what for putting the EDS on them if they are going off in 3 years time?

I say probably bro,SBST Siao Siao so many buses later they will scrap
Not really..
SBST is likely to expand fleet size by 360 buses this time round.. 260 from BSEP funds, 100 self funded..
So that leaves 640 buses that's meant for replacement..
Say the 300 B9TL was to replace 100 VO2x, 200 LO3x, and 50 VO3x, w/ 50 being fleet expansion... So this meant this 640 purchase is meant to replace 150 VO3x Batch 1, 200 Batch 2 (350 ADD), 115 B10M MKIV, 25 asstd loose fleet (SC MKIV, Darts, Superlong, etc... (140 SDs)...
So it's likely 150 Striders would go as well...

KUD lor.
I have 1000 new buses coming my way.
I don't see any reason to kpkb.
Ya man,Can't wait to see all those non WAB buses go early
Hope this citaro not current version.
There is a model of citaro with 3 doors yeah...it's rigid by the way.
