one look at the bus type and u immediately know it's feeder...applies to both SBS and TIBS
these days even citaros are used on feeder
and Mk 4 DM / strider used on trunk instead
for TIBS, citaros on 920 and 922 and DAF on 985, alamak!
lol last time new buses appear on trunk routes, old NAC buses were thrown to feeders..
SBS Service 371 is the first FAC Feeder service if i'm not wrong

When did TIBS renumbered 103 ???
103 still alive now..

371 is covered by 163...
372 is renumbered 903 and reintroduced by SBST as Sengkang Feeder...
378 and 379 are both Seletar feeders, plying Jln Kayu to Seletar West Camp/Picaddily Circle. Both withdrawn and replaced by 103 when TIBs took over 103 and returned it to SBST when SBST shortened the route from NBR to Serangoon Int to Serangook Int to Deletar West Camp.
Originally posted by SBS2656X:IIRC 37x series are for Woodland Feeders for SBST before SMRT invaded that area.
372 is unique... Woodland Feeder number used in Sengkang
SBS372 is now SMRT 903

Hehe I used this.

858 SLs has opportunity for toilet break at Changi Airport, but not 966

170 if Causeway got jam, worst..

502, 506 and 518 should convert to trunk service like 521/963..

Distance is distance but...
What about the TIME taken? 170 last the longest, normally 2 - 3 hours per ride from terminal to terminal and back. If got jam, lagi until 6 hours
Originally posted by SBS2656X:Where did you get the info?
distance info can be obtained from
http://www.transitlink.com.sg/eservice/eguide/service_idx.php
NR and those special services like 502, 506, 518 not counted lah
their bus fares are different from normal, i'm only comparing basic trunk services at typical basic frequencies

that's even comparable with the long distance coach from JB to Kluang

80X for Yishun Feeders
81X for Yishun Intratowns
82X for Jalan Kayu/YCK
85X for Yishun Trunks
86X for Sengkang Trunks
88X for Sembawang
90X for Woodlands Feeders
91X for Woodlands Intratown
92X for BT Panjang Feeders/Special Svcs
94X for Bukit Batok feeders
95X for Marsling Trunk
96X for Woodlands Trunk
97X for Bukit Panjang Trunk
98X for Sembawang/CCK
Looks damn messy to me, like anyhow hamtum once new services comes in. 98x, for example, why for Sembawang and CCK and not for either one only? And 92x, if it is for BP feeders, then use 92x only. How come got what BSP1 or whatever used? And 925, 926 and 927 are not even in BP feeders, why so messy?
And 950 is a trunk service for Woodlands. Shouldn't it be using 96x series instead?
And the premium services, some use 58x, some use 86x and some use 97x. So messy.
Better if they use 9 series for trunk services and 8 series for feeders.

Like SBST?
i propose the following ultra long bus routes be broken up into two segments at the following breakpoint
5 – Eunos
10 – Geylang Lor 1
14 – Marina Centre
30 – Harbourfront
51 – Marina Centre
61 – Harbourfront
66 – Queen St

171 – Bt Panjang
178 – Bt Batok
196 – Shenton Way
197 – New Bridge Road
961 – Buona Vista

Some bus route has histories about its changes in routes and terminating points. Go read up on them.
At least SBST bothers to keep most of its trunk services at 1 to 200. While others for feeders and special services. Very clear cut.

Still very messy...
Just wondering, what numbers will the upcoming 40 routes use ?

Here are the vacancies. Below '200', only 36 vacancies available for SBS to choose
1, 4, 20, 41, 44, 46, 47, 49, 50, 68,
71, 102, 104, 108, 110, 114, 116, 117, 118, 120,
121, 122, 126, 127, 129, 134, 137, 140, 141, 144,
146, 148, 149, 150, 152, 164
201 to 209, unlikely as this series was used on feeder services many years ago
SMRT routes have wider choice of numbering
701 to 709, unlikely as this series seems more appropriate on feeder services
850
951 to 959
967, 968
972, 973, 974, 976, 977, 978, 979, 982, 983, 984, 986, 987, 988, 989

If from Hougang, most likely they will use 117 since 116 was used as a Hougang Int - Mental Hospital service bef... Heavily duplicating 165 and 161's route on the way.
Testing testing..
LOL! never thought that this account still alive
