There's already 27A and 27B from Compassvale Rd - Tampines Ave 5
Yes, but they still operate SD

Why didnt they extend it till Hougang Int? That can relieve the Hougang crowd.

The problem is that 27A and 27B is operated using 27's buses. There cannot be 27A perm buses, only 27/27A buses. That is the trouble.

Later people at Compassvale Road/Street and Punggol Road can't board the bus...
Full already.
why need a 27B when it doesnt terminate at a point before the interchange?

Huh? I checked SBS Transit's website and there's no sign of SWT 27B.

Exactly my point. 27 has like 27 SDs deployed on it.
18 SD should travel to Changi Terminal, and 9 DD should be permanent and return from Tampines Ave 4/5.. Anyway, the max load is there. That way peak hours the clearance will be very good.

Anyway...
If want to solve 27, then let Sengkang have direct bus sv to CGA lor
27 may have to split up..
27B unofficially still got.. but it goes all the way to Hougang
what we need is a new service with a broader catchment in the NorthEast area, shoot into Tampines and loop back.
but it is hard due to the layout of Sengkang and Punggol being on each side of the TPE and a very obvious one-way peak direction. too much dead mileage incurred.
27 got 2 portions
from changi to tampines
then tampines to hougang <<<<<bi-direction>>>>> jialats to the max
why does the overhead bridge seem like very far away to the bus stops away from me. trellis tower style bus hub is it?

Hmm. What 27 truly lacks is downroute. 27 doesnt ever do downroute except for 27A uh?
In 2007,
Svc 27 have 26 - 28 buses. Now, 32 buses
Svc 88 have 28 buses. Now 24 - 25.
Svc 168 have 15 buses. Now 21

there are always people who are 'exploiting' the bus uncles who are allowing citizens to board the buses and are waiting for them. many a time i have experienced bus conductors shouting at people to move into the bus, and although citizens may hear it, they will not take action.
then liddat will have more people gathering and cause the whole bus to be overcrowded
Marine parade should upgrade eons ago.Best thing after the exit carpark of PP current one already headache.Should make it 5 bus length and 966 can put WL/AM AM side can simply change duty there w/o having to shut down engine

Change bus have to cross a long bridge...
Haizzz...
This might benefits those people going to Sengkang from Woodlands and find svc 161/965 freq sucks.(Take svc168). Secondly, I think the overhead bridge is extremely far from the bus stop, not user-friendly. Thirdly, will someone send to LTA to simplified their drawings? This looks slightly messy(although it's understandable).
