Is the load around NS Line and NE Line or does it go all the way to the east?
Yes, most of the load, around 45% are from NSL. NEL around 15%.
No, no. Most of them are towards Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10, Hougang Avenue 8, Buangkok Green and Sengkang. Those going to Punggol Point will transfer to 62 at Punggol Primary or take 88 all the way to Sengkang and change to 83.

It is the ONLY shopping MALL in the Hougang North-East region.
Plus there will be new HDB flats completing around Buangkok Green and YCK road intersection area.
If that happens, then 88 load will be not manageable and comfortable. In that case, the # of DD on 109 should be increased to at least half its fleet. Now there are only 2 DDs. Any idea how 109 DDs are faring?

109 doesnt need alot of DDs ...
Then y have they put 2 DDs on 109? This is new. If the loading wasn't getting high, SBS would not have deployed them on 109 but would have shifted it on another route, neh?

During the morning peak hours, DDs can be full towards Pasir Ris. But off-peak load is low because there's 89.

Thanks for the info, bro. Yes - 89 and 88 are both block buster routes according to me.

No problem.
Most of people in Sengkang need to go to Pasir Ris and Tampines. Same as Yishun and Woodlands.

112? Nope, all stolen by 325
who will take 112 from near hougang point to hougang mall/ INT?
to SGN ppl take 109, to YCK/TAMP 72, HGMALL 325.
But if i was there, walk. 10 mins reach le
162 very full during peak hours
109 3 DDs from HG and 1 from BN is more than enough.Weekdays off peak can use SDs.Only 2 run full day on weekends is good liao.
162 doesnt need DD as for now.The freq and fleets can handle that.If you count peak hours than most service need DDs.This is SG leh even 2 am got peoples late supper etc. What d ya expect a tiny country target 6.5m ppl?Even Johor Bahru 6x bigger only 3.8m.

162 can be like 136 morning peak dd crossover.Everynight i see 162m packed one
Why does 136 need dd? Can anyone tell me? I am a freq commuter of this svc and the dds are always empty.

You Sure ??? i'm took this svc everyday to school...KUBs can't cope with the load. DDs can be full
Maybe you took on the wrong timing or wrong part of the route.
Can ANYONE tell me how does SBST decide to choose DD over SD for a route? How is loading calculated?
Many routes we feel need DDs don't really get them. I think if a trunk route has >60 pax in peak hours, it should be a DD otherwise the journey is really uncomfortable and cramped up. Does SBST also review its routes in the same way, and deploys DD?
SMRT is worst. MAN buses are a joke if SMRT choose to deploy them on high demand route like 190 and 960.
It really needs DD on 190. If SMRT cannot do it, the service should be handed over to SBST again. They will do a good job.

THATS WHY SMRT MUST BUY 80000 CITARO CAPACITIES FOR SERVICE 190!!!!!!!!
Sorry for trolling in this forum.

I still don't know why the loading of 88 suddenly burst - I mean the load is totally full even on non-peak hours, when a few weeks ago it is somewhat empty.

Yeah but TIBS/SMRT operate 67,172,176,184 and 188 better than SBS

Why would you say that? SBS would do a pretty good job too!!

I agree. Even I have seen a huge increase in the patronage for 88. It was always full in peak hours, but a couple times I have taken it in non-peak hours, and the DD is fully seated and it is commendable, considering that others such as 14, 111 have only 15-20 pax in non peak hours.
