Volvo B9TL.
If 170's loading is so crazy, why is there no DD deployed on this route?

how to
reboarding takes time
Originally posted by SBS2656X:BBDEP also needs to do something about their fleet. Putting SDs in 74 is just like making the pessagers more agitated at waiting for another bus.
Actually is 74e even there 4 a reason? Always see it speeding past bus stops with no pessagers on board -_-
Agree with your point on 74's SD.
But I think you should try to take the whole route of 74e and then come to your conclusion. Dun just base on observation from bus stops.
Last time I always took 74e to work from Hg Plaza to the bus stop b4 Marymount station. U know what? Bcos 74 is always full, many pax at hg ave 8 who were going to amk/sim will just board 74e as it came along bcos there were seats/standing places in the bus. Eventually when it reached amk, the seats will normally be filled up with quite a substantial number of standees. Likewise for ppl going back hg.
I thought that 74e is a really big cashcow for sbst!

The re-boarding activities at Woodlands Checkpoint and Johor Bahru Checkpoint.

Eh.. Then how 170X going to make the U-turn and also, wat abt the roads in JB?
somemore I alrdy said, Upp Bt Timah the busy main bus stop so long but 2x bendy = full liao...
Also can Ban San's parking movement take in bendy bus?
Can Temp Jurong East BI use bendies?
Like I said, some ppl still cannot think properly that bendies are useless in Singapore. They create more sorry state for Singapore
I dun see bendies are anywhere faster...
2x bendy = 3x SD... 2x bendy takes abt 260 ppl... 3x SD takes abt 260 ppl also.
Any space efficiency changes? No...
3x ADD = 390 seats... 50% more in the same length... arr....
Down with Citaro G!
I think 228 never see Woodlands CIQ or what. The re-boarding area design is based on 12m buses and it's alrdy getting cramped.
Usually during peak hrs there can be 2 SBS buses in queue... 2 bendies??? The 2nd bendy bus park where and later everyone behind all cannot move...
Delays... Alrdy 170 is erratic during the school holidays... Want to add somemore mess???
Dunno anything dun start anyhow suggesting ways to create more mess... Grow up
oh yah
Upp Bt Timah Rd some places the left lane got sinking alrdy..
Near bus stop somemore... mmm... Created by bendy buses one
I think hor.. since 228 whole day use SBST's ceo email to push for Citaro...
Does 228 know that by stating openly that simi $1.1bn for 550 buses.. ppl can go make police report for some graft related nonsense..
You know why? Cos 1 bus cost abt $400k on avg... 550 buses got cost $1.1bn meh?? somemore dare to specify it's Citaro & Citaro G...
Want to ketok taxpayer's money ar...
Dun think by using a clone account can let you escape.. ppl can track who you're...
In fact I know who you are alrdy.. I find it sad ppl are just denying say you're a clone... You know things, you're sensible... so no reason to be posting things that has degree of seriousness...

You must be seeing the wrong service then.
Or you should just think carefully before you type.
just who twisted the thing, everyone knows what was written back during the Budget period...
Someone else posted $280m...
So if you want to edit those post, I'm admit it's too late as some of the threads may have just expired..
It's your own conscience now to 'shou shan' or pack up
Swiss Cottage can use ADD??? If like this, 66 ought to have used ADD long ago..

For 88's case I don't know why did BRBP bothered to deploy SD in it.
I just saw SBS8816L having trouble even during off-peak hours. Thw whole bus is packed to the brim. 74 too. I once saw 2 DM3500s, 1 CDGE and 1 Vo3x all come together, all full.

How about 804 and 806? Both high demand.
Originally posted by TIB1218R:How about 804 and 806? Both high demand.
804 only one quarter of the route is high.. if dual direction then its half the route. cos the other half 806 bao liao.. and that is high of epic proportions.
actually need to refine the meaning of high loading.
does it mean how packed the bus is for a certain stretch?
or high ridership?
if the definition if the first one, alot of services can make into the list. but top 5 can vary on how long by distance the packness of the bus is, or how frequent (peak and/or off peak) the bus is packed.
if definition is by the second one, it is easier to state top 5.
First trip of 89e can start at 5.35pm. This can capture some Airline House staff that end on the dot at 5.30pm.
now they're all taking 89 to sengkang/hougang and still reach earlier than first PM peak 89e.
