170's case like this is better... Cos can concentrate a fleet onto 170X.
Red plate concentrate more on the condo ppl at Upp Bt Timah & upper end of Bt Timah Rd.

135 uses Leyland Atlanteans.
Yes, 5 uses O305s before.

Most routes in SG are that way. There is a need for route re-vamping. There are hardly any routes that will go fully occupied in one direction, and there are lesser than 10 that will go fully loaded on both directions and there is none during off-peak hours.
No seriously.
Use some brains please.
There's less than 10? You sure? Off my head I can already pull out 147, 95, 96, 151, 154, 25, 854, 190, 88,101. And so many more.
You should either go out more often or just stop posting rubbish for god's sake.
And yes.
The brightsparks are right.
135 did have NAC DDs. As did many AMDEP services then, like 136 as I recall.

101?? 151?? 154?? 95?? 96?? when do you see it loaded in both directions for the full part of its route. Anyway, my opinion can differ from yours. And I can post what I think. Have a nice day!
:)
seriously... some bus svs the demand is peakish in direction and timing...
Say Sv 170.. We always say packed.. but once it's at night, only JB bound is really crowded on typical days.

I totally agree, and that is my point too.

Cold hard facts do not make for "pleasant" opinions.
Yes. 101. 151. 154. 95. 96.
You asked a very irrelevant question.
101 is a quasi-feeder that is full-house at just about any time of the day. You should try rainy days especially.
The rest are "student services". Need I say more? Students obviously have various lessons at various times of the day and its not unusual for these services to be full-house in afternoons in both directions.
Why must a service be full along its entire route to be considered as DD-needy?
Please la.....can you not abuse "freedom of speech"?
People have corrected you countless times and you still insist that being wrong is a birth-right!

Just took 101 bi-direction today.
Upp Serangoon road towards Hougang bef Hougang St 21 intersection got MASSIVE JAM. Got 3 101 got stuck together with me [ I was in SBS6134J ] and all filled to the brim. The opposite side also have 2 101 bunching up due to the jam delay. Both filled with plenty of standees.

How about appealing to SBST to introduce DDs on 101 - or is there a height restriction along the route? Now with purchasing of 550 new Wrights, there shouldn't be a problem to introduce DDs on more routes.
Think if the demand for sv101 calls for DDs, it will be implemented but someone needs to write to LTA/SBST to inform them
ACx

I am sure SBST is monitoring all its routes too. But deployment of DDs is not solely based on high loading as for I understand. A lot of routes have DDs coz of advertisement contracts as some routes have higher visibility and SBST earns most of its revenue from ads.
SBST should make 23,25,30,51,74,87,88,89,147,161,198 full fleet DDs first before introducing them on 101
I think with 550 new Wrights coming in that will be possible. Lets also add more DDs to 2, 7, 8, 22, 62, 78, 80, 81, 99, 157, 181, 197, 240, 241, 291, 334 to the list.
LTA thinking more new rails coming no need for certain svc use 100% DD leh.147 can understand but 2 a lot of svc run parallel nia..

Yes sir - but the load at Bugis, Bedok, Tanah Marah, Loyong, Changi is quite a bit. You see standing all through from Bugis to Loyong on 2 in the evening and other way round in the morning.
Ok lar,No need to please for the sake of just a few stops high load.Unless the stretch of roads with 7 bus stops with no other service run then justified. As for now what svc 2 need is 3 SDs and the rest all DDs.They think its better to put all DDs for 65 etc cause the loading is superb.

But if you see route parallelism, then 65 has a parallel route with 66 from Bedok Reservoir to Little India, 64 from Aljunied to Dhoby Ghaut, 21/22 from Tampines Ave 1 to Eunos Link. But yet the loading is good.
I feel it is the same with 2. There is no parallel route till Tanah Merah, and then also the # of parallel buses are few. 2 is like 147. 147 runs parallel to NEL and 2 runs parallel to EWL. People like to take 2 as a good alternative to MRT.
you cannot say duplicating here n there and surprised that e demand is still high...
we've a lot of roads, but still the buses only ply the MAIN arterial roads. So like this on strict standards, we've lots of bus duplications...
and... spend some time on the MRT station to station demand... some connections the demand isn't really high in reality... like Tanah Merah...
so far this station e bulk demand is more like an Airport shuttle transfer stop, and to buses heading to Bedok South or TMFT.

Since you know so much, can you help me understand where is the high loading for DDs on 64 and 139, please? :)

64 is Queenstown leg
139 is Toa Payoh - Rochor/ Bencoolen St area.
This is more of the heavier load stretch.
64 there's he'll of crowd at Queenstown and dun forget its the only svc serving Mei Ling St.139 like what Mr SBST275 have said..I wonder if 131 can use DD?Bt Purmei roundabout got problem??
