They are used as a destination indicator and it came with Red/White plates.
73, 135 & 155 do have square side destos, but they are not used on KUBs like those spotted on 21, 60, 124.

21 still have square side destos at the front for the Volvo B9TLs though the buses were retrofitted with LECIP EDS.

Yeah.
SBS776X my favorite MK3. I took it on svc 18 almost everyday during my primary school days. It always appeared after SBS9142R (svc 8) and by that time there were much lesser crowds as SBS9142R took most of them. Always looked forward after school to watch the Just For Laughs on TVMobile which will occasionally show during that time. It will sometimes be replaced by SBS608Z (my 2nd fav MK3) during cameos. If I get early dismissal I will take SBS701L which was before SBS776X but I didn't like that bus because it has no TVMobile.
Also, SBS998Y was mostly seen at the opposite bus stop where I was at during that time. It just mysteriously disappeared together with SBS999U in 2006. Didn't know that they were sold away Think SBS933J replaced it since it just randomly appeared one day and stayed on svc 18. As for SBS999U replacement I don't know lol (or is it SBS3698T/SBS3702P?)

Sv 60 Wrights sometimes use the square side destos too.. But most of the time is the normal Red/White destination indicator plates.

I've once seen 317 using the square side destos. But now it won't be common anymore since they can just use the rear desto for citaro and kubs. For Mk4s, I suppose they use the leftover rectangular side-destos...

I thought 317 use the In/Out desto at the front ?

Haha yep! There were NAC 2 axles perming 359 before. :) 2001? Tottaly not sure man, didnt care so much about buses then! Try my best to check for you. Sry, juz realised it was 809K that permed 359 back than. And yes, I live in Pasir Ris.
Fleet in 2005:
SBS858T, SBS730C (my favourite oreo ad), SSB870G, SBS611M, SBS 630?, SBS809K and SBS3643B.. Haiz, memories...
Fleet in 2012:
SBS8418C, SBS8420U, SBS8421S, SBS 5009U, SBS5008Y, SBS2811P. Havent found the bus that is replacing 858T though.
Seriously the most comfy buses ever had for the seats are really the old red or blue SBS bus seats on the NAC buses O305, LO2x, B57...

I think so.. Btw thanks for checking. Those 2 VO2X replace Leyland Atlanteans in 2001. In 2003, the VO2X were thrown to SLBP and Scania N113CRB replace them.

Yes, I used to live at Pasir Ris. At that time there was no 58 and 109. 81 goes to Little India and Chinatown, SBS1688K on 518 and 39 was newly introduced. Miss those great times

You forgot 3650E with 3643B perm on 359 dude. Then came the onslaught of NAC N113CRBs onto 359 with 3610X 3613M 3603S some of those onto 359 when they left.
Anyway which part of Pasir Ris do you live in dude? I think I live on the opposite side of Pasir Ris compared to you, although 359 still serves my bus stop!

Yeah dude. I live at White Sands Primary that bus stop along Pasir Ris Dr 1, that's why I get to see more services like 12, 17, 21, 39, 53, 81, 109, 518 & of course 359 etc on a daily basis.
Actually the fleet in 2005 when I got into this hobby was: 611M 663M 730C 841R 858T & 870G.
630H was replaced by one of those missing from your list I think. Plus, there are many other SP Mk3s that came into 359 here & then to replace the ex-perm 359 Mk3s that went to Sv 291 (for 663M), Sv 222 (730C, then later 870G) and Sv 2 (611M). Like 635U 633A 876R 809K all came into Sv 359 along the 7 years since 2005, mostly before the KUBs arrived.
841R was the first among the fleet of 2005 I mentioned to be de-registered. IIRC it met with an accident, laid-up for a year, then de-reg without coming out of laid-up, somewhere in 2007-2008 that period.

I have 2 bus stops that I can board at, either the main road one at Pasir Ris Dr 1 (with the myraid of bus services mentioned earlier), or the bus stop directly after yours, opposite that Seashell Park. HAHA!
