Spotted one king long bus in sbst livery today. Bus meet with some accident at petrol station. Just brand new arrive in Singapore.

not really langa... accordingly to the driver from King Long, they have just brought out the bus from the port/storage area, and want to drive to Tuas area.. but the bus have run out of diesel, so they drive to the shell station to try to pump diesel, but the entrance to the petrol station is very steep... and the rear bottom scratch the ground and got stuck...
will upload photo later on.... currently only one bus in singapore for trial... expected to place order for around 100-200 units if trial is ok accordingly to the driver... cost of this bus is much much cheaper than MB...
mechanics arrived and manage to lift up the back and free the bus.. but think the undercarriage is damage accordingly to the driver...

Btw, constrast to what someone have mention, this is a Low entry bus.... there are step to the back of the bus (same as KUB)....

I seriously dun think it is the hybrid electric one in the YOG earlier... I rmb the first demo of this kind by SBST has been sent to NTU after serving svc 179 for a while...

I didn't know much of this. But it has been proven false since the low entry Volvo B9TLs were introduced up till 2011 year end to early 2012.

But BIS say is true LTA ban LE bus because Scania K270UB was rejected by SBS and sell to BT!!!

It isn't a K270UB as far as I know... Wonder where on earth your got the info..
In any case, so if people begin to complain abt the LF buses the rear issue next thing ban it also???
Guess the people inside tat made the decision aren't engineers - they dun know of a true phase 'no free lunch in design'.

Must it be because of the law then reject? Got a lot of other reasons u noe. Truly speaking, I think the K270UBs were rejected becoz it is not as Gd as the K230UB, oso that time is bacause SBST wan compete with SMRT by buying Citaros? So as to also replace the MKIIIs. By the time they are gonna buy the next batch to replace the DM I THINK the K270UB will be out of production oredi.

Model is a King Long XMQ6121G. Low entry (interior largely similar to the Euro V KUBs). Diesel engine.

Nice.Seating arrangement similliar to KUB.Btw which type of seating arrangement KUB it was?B1 or B2?.Hope is B1.Btw if look from the side and info board,abit like citaros.Hope this kind of bus will come to AMDEP in future then can ride.
