Post the bus you take along with the occupancy levels.
132 (Bukit Merah to Thomson Road) - The bus had the full lower and part upper deck full till Redhill (around 60-65 pax), after which there were around 35-40 pax till I got down at Police Academy, Thomson road.
143 (Thomson Medical Center to Clemenceau Avenue) - I was surprised that the bus had around 30-35 pax till Orchard, more so as there was a 124 right ahead of it, and then suddenly the pax went up to 50 - 55 on Orchard Road.
123 (Clemenceau Avenue to Bukit Merah) - The bus at no point went above 20-25 pax.

If you have taken 123 during Saturday nights in between Orchard Blvd and Queensway you can see that the demand is there.
Sure. In fact 123 has many alternatives that could lead to less loading at time. Many alternate buses till Queensway Junction (7, 174, 106) and 105 right until Commonwealth. As soon as it turns to Queensway, if there is a 153 before it, the loading will again be poor.
I think 123's main loading comes between Bukit Purmei Avenue and Tiong Bahru Plaza.
88
1st bus
AMK downroute to PSR
Full load all the way.
Buangkok Green Downroute
Full load all the way to AMK.
Over 30 pax still in bus after AMK.
156
Full pax all the way from Sengkang Int to Thomson.
Pax reduced to 15 all the way to Bishan MRT.
Pax increased to 25 then all the way to Clementi MRT.
43
Full load [ SBS3050L ] all the way to NEX Serangoon.
After NEX, the pax reduced to less than 15.
After Paya Lebar MRT, Pax increased from less than 15 to 40 all the way to UEC.
325
Half load from Buangkok Green to Hougang Pri.
Max load from Hougang Pri to Opp Blk 521.
After that the pax reduced to 5 then all the way to HG Int.
I assume 88, 43 and 325 were DDs and 156 was SD?? Because full load on 88 or 43 as DD would mean around 80 pax but on SD would mean around 50 pax.

You are correct about 43 and 88 - those 2 services have high loadage around ~50% of their route.
325, however is SD as it is a feeder that doesn't get more than 50 pax on each bus regularly.
156 - you are correct. They instead introduced 156A to relieve the Thomson crowd.
88's load is so unbearable that only 3 buses from 88's fleet is SD. Yes all 3 are Scanias - Citaros does not perm since the crash load is too much of a trouble for citaros to handle.
43 - However can accept citaros but it only gets uncommon camoes on weekdays but common on weekends since it is FULL SD on weekends , the DDs got replaced by citaros.
Moreover 43 has parallel route with 76 right from YCK road to Marine Parade and even 70 till Paya Laber. Hence, if either bus goes ahead 43 does not have much loading. It might make sense to divert one of these routes along the parallel roads.
I have seen at Toa Payoh that 8 has crazy load - the queue at the very first stop is around 60-70 pax but 88 in morning peak does not have many takers at the interchange but might be getting full later.
And the reason why 88 got no 88A is because 88's peak point is AMK. If 88A is otimised, it would end somewhere around Buangkok Green, which is not the peak point. So it will be useless. If you created it from TPY, it would end also somewhere around Buangkok Green. But it is useless also. Many people taking 88 to PSR is because they have to work at Sengkang, Punggol and Pasir Ris. But since it ended at Buangkok Green, it is useless too since there is NSL covering it all the way from TPY to AMK. That is also the reason why SBST's profit boosted last December when NSL brokedown. 88 is convenient since it links TPY to AMK, where commuters from TPY, Bishan can take 88 to AMK station to continue their journey on MRT to Woodlands/Yishun/etc... The load of 88 is so high that 3 of them are deployed from TPY at once. The load is too high for 88's current fleet to handle. Emergency pullovers occur and SBS6007T is pullovered from 28 to camo 88 to solve it's crash load. MkIVs can also be seen camoing 88. But then, it will soon be a legend unless NSL broke down again
Those were the most glorious times of 88.

Paya Lebar*, 88*.
Yes it is absoloutely true. Morning Peak hours only occur on 88's route to TPY from PSR. Why? NSL. Many people from the North-East Region have to take 88 to reach NSL. 72 otherwise isn't that popular since at Tampines there is already EWL and it reached YCK, not AMK. AMK is also a transport hub for many people to take rest as there is
Ang Mo Kio Hub. TPY to PSR has crazy load from AMK to Punggol ONLY. TPY's commuters doesn't usually work at North-Easy regions, therefore the downroute from AMK to PSR.

43 is very successful from Punggol to NEX but not so useful in the middle. But useful again from Paya Lebar MRT to UEC as there is no MRT link from CBD to UEC.

Your post, as well as the two posts after this, make no sense at all.
Anyone else sharing the same sentiments as I do?

SUMMARY
1st post :
88 has exceeded it's optimised fleet during NSL breakdown last year and SBS6007T camoed on it. 88A is useless to be created.
2nd post :
88 has a higher load than 72 all-day.
3rd post :
43 is not fully optimised due to duplication of services.

Can carry more? You mean like taping the people onto the ceiling? You joking me!
113's peak hour evening load can be full from 5pm all the way to 9pm.
From Kovan Station Towards Hougang Ave 1.
Morning peak hour load lesser than evening load but still have the dd seats full load.
113A sometimes quite packed also even though 5-7 mins freq

Note that 43 plies along Serangoon MRT whereas 76 doesn't.

How you get to know that the capacity of Euro V K230UBs is 92 instead of the official capacity, 87?
