There's height restriction at Dunearn Road. 48,66 and 170 affected. This is why 67 has no DDs back then.

so must get more Citaro Gs and Capacitys!!!
But even 154, 174 do Dunearn road. Which part of Dunearn road is the restriction at? Newton? What is the height restriction - branches?

Low branches, Dunearn Road between KK hospital and Stevens Road
Why dont they just cut off the low hanging branches? I can imagine DDs not being deployed because of height clearance because of bridge or structure - but a few branches can definitely be cut, when so many are for MRT.

Sometimes it is best to not to cut the branches.
The centre of gravity of the tree may be shifted off the main trunk and the tree might just fall with a heavy rainfall with strong winds.

I am hearing this for the first time la... Branches are cut so many times for building construction and maintenance...

JUST CUT THE WHOLE TREE DOWN
Lol. You are a funny man. Is the load on 66 or 48 worth cutting a tree down? ;) 66 has 65 in parallel from Little India all the way to Bedok Reservoir. So we can spare the trees :)
67 and 960 happily using bendies..
67 load is too high. It cant survive as SD. They have to move this route to DD or maintain bendy.

BENDIES to DA RESCUE.
I tell you, the load will go SKY LOW when the new DTL 3 is released.
But that is 2017 - still 4 years to go...

But 56 and 166 travel there.

So we should buy new Citaro Gs!!

56 and 166 turn to Kampong Bahru - so I guess the height restriction on Dunearn road doesn't apply to these routes anyway.
56 DDs has reduced I guess, hardly see many now days - guess it is only 3-4 of the whole fleet.
166 DDs are doing good. Even in off peak hours has around 60 pax while some routes like 123 may have only 15-20 pax during off peak hours.

What is 9889U? How do you'll remember all the bus registration numbers? I only identify whether it is a SD - DD and then the model whether it is a Wright or Trident or Citaro or Merc :P

56 route is quite similar to 57 except for some parts.

There's a reason why

57 goes to vivocity.
The actual place where 66 cannot use DD is at Swiss Cottage.
960?
Off peak freq is anything 1 - 20 mins...
Even wait for 20 mins, just nice for a MAN's capacity...
960 & 961 forever erratic. 961 still has problems of buses 'alight people and quickly turn out, regardless got ppl flag or not' of situation..
No, behind dun have 961...

Hahaha... 852 also same case
At least 961 better than 72. When there's no one at bus stop, ' Stop, open doors, wait for few seconds, close doors, wait for the whole road to clear then can move.
I prefer to take 27 than 72
