you know of a govt stat board called PWD back in the 1980s & 1990s?

In fact I believe 105 was made to use Boundary Rd back in 1990s was in consideration of the traffic volume along Upp S'goon Rd
You mean Service 109?
Service 105 was made to skip Boundary Rd, while Service 109 took over the Boundary Rd sector which used to serve Service 105, thus making Service 105 becoming a direct route from Serangoon Int to Serangoon Ave 3.
If Service 105 were to keep the route as it is, it has to go a big loop via Upp Serangoon Rd & Serangoon Ctrl in order to enter Boundary Rd and further down to Serangoon Ave 2 again to enter Serangoon Ave 3.
Service 109 is also the same theory as Service 105, but just that from Serangoon Int, it goes directly down to Serangoon Ave 2 in order to go to Boundary Rd. A direct route is better than to circle a big loop around Serangoon Central area, which increases the journey time within Serangoon.
Service 100 only skips Serangoon Stn bus stop, but its considered accessible since it calls from the new Serangoon Int.

Come on, obviously we know that Sv81 plies Upp Serangoon Rd. SBS8533C was referring to the stretch of Upp Serangoon Rd after the Serangoon Ctrl junction should Sv81 be made to terminate at Serangoon Int.

Then serangoon can operate bendy bus also!!!
sorry
no parking lot for bendy bus at Serangoon.. all 12m lots
225 I feel there's no need for DDs as for now.222 certainly need 60% at least.229 dunno justified or not.291 certainly does.240,241,334 all need.285 is more or less during weekdays peak hours.265/268 also can put on trial no harm.74 & 147 need 90% DDs.165 3 DDs from each ride should be enough le,166 need more.153 good balancing as well as 107.109 need at least 3 DDs.113 can trial also.
Still harping on 43...
DD allocation is a WASTE coz sv76 following behind is always empty...

43's DD demand is in the first half of the route.
and the 43 DD at paya lebar helps if 76 and 135 hasnt arrived and there are many people waiting at the mrt station stop.
8, 25, 74, 88, 147 are definitely 100% DD routes
165 has DDs but are always empty. I wonder why because a large part of its route is similar to 74, yet you see 74 having >80 pax and 165 < 40 pax. Very surprising for me.
261 needs DD. Look at the crowd at Ang Mo Kio. It is crazy to take this bus.
The DDs on 198 seem under-utilized. 198 DDs were doing very well a few months back, suddenly there is a drop in loading. My observation is between Bukit Merah and Buona Vista. I am sure there must be heavy loading near Jurong / Boon Lay.
43 and 76 have a long route in common. Either route needs to be diverted, because the loading completely depends on which bus comes first. I have seen 43 coming as a SD stuffed with 60 pax and then a 76 comes DD with just about 50 pax. But if the DD would come first, it would serve comfortable traveling for passengers. And if 43 is a DD, then the following DD on 76 is empty.
Huh??
How is 74 and 165's route in any way BROADLY similar to each other?
Not mirror images la... My point was both have the same orientation. Come from Clementi Road - Adam - Lornie - AMK - Hougang. Ofcourse, the routes are not the same, otherwise they wouldnt have the same numbers.
What I wanted to highlight is that while 74 has so many takers, 165 has less than half.
Isn't that obvious?
Because the routes are BROADLY different??
Oh yeah.
Since you used numbers, lemme point out that 165 - 74 = 91.
Very big difference!
You are right. I am wrong. Cheers.
Because 74 passes through Bukit Timah Rd.
Which is why when you said at the beginning that 151 does not need DD.......this is not particularly correct either.

Actually will be good if 76 re-routed, from Paya Lebar to Ubi to Eunos Link to Still Road and then loop at Marine Parade estate. Missing links can be covered by 43 and 135.
Still plying Marine Cres & Marine Terr?

Yes, DDs on 109 are new.
Do you know how many DDs are deployed on 109?
