Actually 43 don't even need DDs.
I have seen 43 heavily loaded. It completely depends on whether a 76 is ahead of it. But from Serangoon to Punggol it does have high loading (>60 pax).
I feel 76 route should be diverted. This is my suggestion.
Yo Chu Kang (loop at Aljunied Station) via Serangoon, Upper Aljunied road, Aljunied Station. This way there is a route from AMK & YCK Road to Aljunied.
43 should divert via Marine Terrace to take care of 76's missed route. 43 should be converted to full DD route while 76 can be started as SD and depending on loading, a few DDs can be added.
76 should be diverted back to Ubi Avenue 2 and Jalan Eunos, looping at Marine Terrace..
161 should have full fleet DDs
What do you think is the next service to get DDs ? Maybe 3,38,63,100,135,238,268 ??

3 - Uni directional loading (but can deploy 2 DDs for peak hours)
38 - Can manage with current load
63 - Had asked SBS. Stated height restrictions, but I believe either 33 or 63 should have a few DDs to relieve the crowd at Tiong Bahru road during peak. Also 63 has good loading between Aljunied and Eunos.
100 - They should introduce 5 DDs on this route for peak hour loading. The rush is crazy and that's one of the reasons I suggested 76 be diverted to Aljunied as at both Serangoon and Aljunied it is the only route plying through Upper Aljunied.
135 - If not 100, 135 needs some DDs for sure to relieve some crowd. It also seems a heavily packed route. Take a few DDs from 132/153 and put them on 100/135
238/268 - If smartly done, load can be satisfied by using extra DDs at Toa Payoh / AMK as crossover during peak hours.
Originally posted by SGCar:195 IIRC was because of the road from Queensway turning left into Commonwealth Dr is the problem. Even currently SD on 195 still have to allowed all vehicles to turn out from Commonwealth Dr before able to negotiate the sharp left turn. IMHO LTA should have fixed up that turn so as other heavy vehicles can easily turn in too.
Cheers.
Not really, there is height clearance in Telok Blangah Way.

Theres 63M and good if SBST introduced a short trunk thus can withdrawn 63M liao.63 can concentrate their route.

135? 135 demand lesser than svc 45 wor(both bus routes almost mirroring each other from AMK except tanjong katong, aljunied area. 238 dosent need DDs because the route is very short.

161 should have full fleet DDs but not extra buses as the demand only builds up after 15-20 mins during off peak. I took SBS9545Y on 161 today and it was so damn slow on the expressway.. Should use wrights and kubs on this svc to chiong on the eway..
Most of bus enthus believe that svc 105 cant get dds due to the lorong chuan flyover right?
There is a 4.5m height clearance stated there so 105 can get dds but SBST didnt deploy dds to svc 105..

Svc 133 crowd is from bugis to potong pasir stn right?
i agree that svc 2 needs more dds cause damn crowded, even though from CV towards bedok stn.

I dont agree that 45 and 135 routes mirror each other (except for AMK Ave 1 to Serangoon)
45 --> Serangoon - Upp Paya Laber - Hougang Ave 3 - Eunos Link - PIE - Bedok - Tanah Merah - East Coast
135 --> Serangoon - Upper Aljunied - Circuit Road - Paya Laber - Tanjong Katong - Marine Parade
How are the two routes same? Please explain. I would agree if you say 43, 70 and 76 - coz they have a long route in common.

I wonder why SBST has not deployed DDs on 105 considering it is a busy route. Some DDs from 132/153 can be given to 105.

133 has high loading between Bugis & Potong Pasir (extremely right) and again from Serangoon Ave 2 to AMK Ave 1 & 10 junction.
2 has very high loading all the way in one direction and in the opposite from CV - Bedok or Bedok - CV. Hence, it justifies for a full fleet DD or at least deploying more DDs.

105 > Height restriction at Lorong Chuan, CTE Flyover.. Same case for 73 and 159

The off peak frequency is no longer 15-20 mins..
Currently,
Average 10 mins
Maximum 13 mins

Maximum height clearance is 3.9m..

What about 100 or 135? Why no DD on this route? At least one between 100 and 135 should get DDs during peak hours.
165 doesn't need DDs.... SDs is enough....For 196...it's quite ulu towards Clementi side from Bukit merah....

Why the hell does svc 43 need DD -.-
If you think like that then you can go to kovan station during peak hours and look at svc 113, go to serangoon station to look at svc 53's loading, if like that both need DD.

I took svc 105 b4 the lorong chuan flyover states 4.5m.....
Dey it states there 4.5m
Anyway back to topic
i think that svc 43,90,132,165 do not need DDs.
Svc 62 do not need so much DDs and such good frequency. Bus svcs in hougang/ lorong ah soo like 53,113, is damn crowded esp school dismissal times and peak hours. Got one day i waiting for svc 113, 3 svc 62 came in the span of 15 mins, each bus 5 min, all DD, all so empty, no standee. Svc 113 come, full load to the door, cannot board. Empty svc 62 DD at the back. People complain and whine. Same case for 53 also. Btw, svc 113 (ex 321) had dds in the past also. Vo2x.
reasons why 43,90,132,165 do not need DDs :
svc 43's demand is not fixed. It depends on whether which bus comes first. Eg. if svc 76 comes first, 43's dd will be unutilised.
svc 90. This svc only crowded when airshow or special occasion near the airport there la...
svc 132. demand only from redhill to orchard others ulu
svc 165. Off peak ulu, peak hours demand also not fixed. This bus svc mirrors alot of services also.... Therefore SDs can be deployed on this svc.

Its 3.9M !!!!!!!!! Take 105 towards Serangoon and you will able to see it..

Have you seen the crowds for 62 ??? Its 10x higher than 113! 132 has a high loading too...
There are many other services that have higher loading than 113!

165 don't need so much DDs now, can transfer some to feeder services like 265 and 268 instead.

I never had a chance to take these demos.
Even more upset that I saw the Volvo Ailsa B55 twice on 65 before, but never had the chance to take it. A chance that was gone forever.
Anyway, nice to see these buses again, brings back the good old memories.
