Svc 72 used to have 28 buses in 2007, now 25 buses
Svc 135 also kena downgraded from 19 buses, to 15 buses currently

No shiat.
The drivers are constantly thinking of ways to drive slowly to be on "schedule". I rather they drive faster with lesser buses... the frequency can still be kept there.
the stretch from tampines all the way to hougang ave 3 can be done in a very short time.
during non-peak hours, the stretch from yio chukang road all the way to the terminal can be done in a short timing as well.

Some services need to take account into traffic jams and busy roads with many traffic lights which can be understood.
But the time frame given to 72 is way too long, and most of its route are not busy roads.
SBST should sell some of their DDs to SMRT. 172 need DDs due to high loading at Jalan Sungei Poyan
SBST should sell LO 3x at cheap rate to SMRT for routes such as 190, 172 if SMRT cannot afford purchasing Volvo and Tridents.

All buses that SBST and SMRT purchased are required to be wheelchair accessible. SMRT is considering buying 100 units of CDGE B9TL from SMRT. They will be registered as SMB1000D to SMB1099U if the deal is confirmed.
Where SG public buses can bought 2nd hand?Use your sense leh dun spread rumours
If SMRT buys 100 B9TLs from SBST, then SBST will need to purchase new ones to replace them as we need more DDs during peak hours with increasing load.

That won't happen

SMRT buying bus from SMRT?
I didn't know SMRT owned CDGE B9TLs

The CDGEs are just fleet addition - no need for replacement.

Wow. The SMRT DD looks really good. The white and red combination is my favorite and it looks chic on this DD. Alas!! When will SMRT introduce DDs? God only knows...

No, CDGEs were brought for fleet expansion and introduction of new service.
So that means SBST has increased the # of DDs in its fleet? By how much?

200
I am in love with the color of the SMRT DD. When will they introduce one????
To my mind, the Superbus livery was much nicer.
I especially loved the Trident's and 9888Y's "arrow design".
