67/171/960 fine with bendies but not 190.Svc like 190 cannot afford to have less bendies on its fleet but again the CBD traffic is very chaotic when 3 190 bendies enter Orchard bus bays.851 can survive cause only 7 bendies in its fleet.190 is better off using DDs

But 3 DD takes a lot space too..unloading is slow but capacity rises
For 2 bendies, unloading fast but capacity is low
pros and cons are everywhere..nothing is perfect

SMRT want buy DDs or bendies, it's their choice so don't anyhow assume that SMRT will bring in DDs or bendies.

I really wished this flamewar will stop here, it's the PTO's decision anyway, so why keep arguing on it when it doesn't even do any good...

Actually those ppl have more experience on buses and what they tell u is about the infrastructure and LTA plans that indirectly doesn't support bendy buses at all.You see the current new BI so narrow to let svc with lot of bendy buses ply.But again human does make mistakes.Were to engross and with the extend to become extremist in our comments.The senior bus fans that you label names are all ex TIBS fans and do love bendies till SMRT take over and ruin its bus business.

190 and 851 are both better off with DDs. 851 bendy always creates a problem at Tiong Bahru Plaza.

Even if you yell in a bendy, people in the 2nd compartment cant hear you. So no use spoiling your vocal chord :)Bendy can max take 105-110 pax. Anyone who thinks more than that doesnt know the reality.
A Citaro can max take 70 pax even if it claims 90 pax because people dont move to the rare and it is obvious, they want to stand in the middle area where it is more comfortable.

True.The only saving grace for DDs is that you have 82-85 seats in the first place. So isnt that the most comfortable journey and then on top of it, it can comfortably take 40 standees, though the claim states 50 standees. I think max is 125 pax for DD and 120 if it is more comfortable. Bendy 105-110.

If bendies could only take up 105-110 then really something is wrong. Unless the real capacity is just for show

If SMRT buy Euro VI Citaro Gs ex TIBS fans will like SMRT too!!!
