ok.
Actually i noticed something peculiar about SMRT buses old yellow flipdot desto...
the bus route number is on the driver side of the bus.
When i was in EUROPE recently, i realised the route numbers are on the entrance side of the bus which would be easier for passengers to take note.
Then i realise when SMRT introduced their European buses to SG, they have forgotten to programme it correctly to be above the Entrance door which they have now corrected for buses with the new EDS signage

For Tibs era only the later - CSS DAF was programmed in that manner..
I guess it was SBST that started the entrance side positioning in masses
There is a thread about this long ago, not sure what happened (it could have expired), so this is a part 2 thread.

They forgot to programme it for 15 years.
A case of forgetfulness indeed?

What about the Tridents then? Were the service number initially at the left hand side?

SMRT standardisation is non-existent....
And they even go as far as to do it on purpose with their colourful multi-alternate-colour seats on newer buses.
Worse was when they threw in the "Doors are closing beep beep beep".
Honestly taking SMRT buses can be surreal.

Door closing chime is ok but those announcements are seriously unnecessary. Don't know why SMRT waste money on such things.

Yup yup
So the accidents and fire and break-downs from SMRT have also been pretty spectacular.
Make sense make sense.
