Must be AT drive Scania!!!!!!!
The bus has its harzard light on? i think is brake faulty and he horn before he sway right then left
It is not woodlands transport. It is a Anchorvale Point Shuttle Bus.
From the newspaper I just received, the exact location is next to HP Building, Alexandria Road.
From the report, a HP shuttle bus is awaiting to carry 50 workers home when the Anchorvale Point Shuttle bus, came dashing straight at the HP Shuttle bus.
About 20 of the workers are already in the bus when the APS bus hit them. The other 30 people escaped as they did not board the bus yet. The HPS bus was hit, along with another car. The bus driver is believed to have swerved it's driving wheel, making it to change direction and crash onto the bus then the car. About 8 person injured, the buses' door have to be drilled open from the derbis that was created during the accident. There is a major road jam there. Some bus services were subjected to delays.
And yes. The brakes are confirmed to be the cause of the freak accident.
heng nia
that guy crossing saw it and run..
i thot i juz seen a Initial D (bus)
dunno is it related to the accident
Lucky bus missed the SBS Citaro!!!!

It is the citaro that was lucky to miss the APS bus.
The bus is swerving on the same lane as the citaro when it just dashed pass the pedestrian that is crossing the road. But the APS bus swerved AGAIN, thus missing the citaro but unluckily, hit the HPS bus and the car.
Many people have assumptions that it is a PR driver.
From the pics from Lian He Wan Bao, it is highly unlikely that the driver is a PR.
The brakes is supposed to have malfunctioned, with the bus driver probably not knowing what do deal with it with too many cars on the same road as he, he supposedly to have chose to evade those vehicles to prevent a fatal accident. That would explain his hazard lights and the horn - yes, a drunk driver would not have the ability to open the hazard lights, horn at the pedestrian and evade those cars along Alexandria Road and still have the precision to drive through the slip-lane and crossover to the opposite-driving lane.
Obviously the driver isn't sleeping.
Many people have doubts about the brakes, if the brakes failed to operate, how could they still drive it? Most probably the brakes suffered from the continuous jerking of the brakes. The hand brakes? Well, the bus driver is apparently trying to EVADE the cars. If HANDBRAKE is applied, the bus would probably hit the car or a tree or the road kerb or the pedestrian. Worst case, the bus would get a fuel leak that may cause an explosion, or killed another innocent road-user instantaneously.
So, final deduction, BRAKES FAIL.
Some people suggested killing the engines. Well that won't work either.
You will STILL get the handling, but this time, the brakes won't work.
So, you would still get the speed and happy Kamikaze Race.
But some vehicles, on the other hand, when you kill the engine, you lose the handling of the vehicle too.
The motorcyclist is more fragile,Better hit the Citaro rather than hit the poor rider.I can see the bus driver is speeding looking at the way the bus swerve.Luckily the driver is skill or else we will see like AC1@custom incident.

But a citaro is LOW FLOOR. The APS bus is NOT LOW FLOOR.
The impact will definitely cause some death with the weight of the APS since most of it is concentrated at the bottom.
The bus captain sitting directly infront somemore with some people alighting/boarding...
Hitting HPS bus is already lucky as both aren't low floor, the weight of the HPS bus will be able to withstand the impact of APS bus. So, lesser or no death will be caused.
The HP shuttle bus suay...
People still boarding

btw the driver shouldnt have driven the bus into the opposing lane. he could have killed the pedestrian or risked running into oncoming traffic resulting in more casaulties.
i dont know if it makes sense but wouldnt it be better to drive headon towards the traffic light to slow the bus down?
the speed travelled would make any stationary car into a pancake

HELLO??? THE CARS HAD THEIR FUEL TANKS AT THE BACK!
IT IT RAMMED LIKE THIS,
THERE IS A VERY HIGH RISK TO HAVE THE CAR EXPLODING!
MORE CASUALITIES, I MUST SAY.
