  The new E500 is 8900cc with 335hp/1550nm but still using Cummins engine leh which is a taboo to both Sbst and Smrt.SBST should get the new planned Scania K320UD in Euro VI emission.SMRT on other hand should buy the planned Optare integral DD with Merc engine(Option OM430 10700cc 350hp) or MAN East Lancs Kinetec DD with an option of MAN 320hp.

  Looking at the Cummins engine we had and all the associated problems....thankfully no more of that.

  Scanias are not creepy, people dislike it due to its dull interior and it's over numbering quantity.

  Any bus models will go boring if became over numbered. You may not believe me, but it's true!

  Scania vibrate due to its 5 cylinder 230hp and it's only noted when stationary only.Pity Sbst dun buy K270 it's a bit less vibrate as I've taken a few rides on the RapidKL ones.

  Wonder why MB doesn't want to produce double decker city buses?I know a few Optare DD use MB engines but it will be nice If MB produce Citaro DD using OM930 10700cc engine...

  I hope SBST's big purchase of Citaros can encourage Daimler Benz to design a Citaro double decker for SBST and maybe Hong Kong market.  

  Anyway, Hong Kong choices now seems limited with Volvo, Scania and Alexander Dennis.

  Ya Lor getting boring seeing those common Volvo,Scania and AD DDs..NeoMan now concentrate on coaches,Optare on the way.Hope Citaro DD dream will materialise

  32,132 & 153 should let BBDEP take a few duties instead and 97/174 should minority Arbp.

  I hvaen't been seeing any AMDEP single decks operating on sv168,the last time that i seen a Am sd operating on 168 was when buses  like SBS293Y
  were still around, what is the reason that  amdep  don't allow their KUBS to operate on 168 now ?

  Service 168 had KUB perms before. One of them was 8189.

  8189M and 8329D are BNDEP btw. The latest one SD i saw was 915L wich is a 225 bus

  You guys heard any news for 161 and 7?Heard AMDEP will take a few duties for 161 and BNDEP for 7.
