Give BPS1 to SBS put Citaros!!!
My opinion is dun cut/change any of the current bus routes. With an increased population, people should have more options to take the kind of public transport they want.
Any chance of 63M to further extend to Potong Pasir :p

mmm.... no!
Singaporeans ought to learn how to survive without trains
Without MRT, life still goes on
Before 1987, where got MRT? everyone take bus
Even after 1987, MRT from Yio Chu Kang to Toa Payoh only, no eastwest line, no northeast line
Why many people these days cannot survive without iphones, handphones and MRT?
Before 1987, we didn't have these..life still goes on, won't die
some depend on the train as it gets them directly to their destination in the shortest time possible

Somemore as this is occuring pretty often, some ppl will just take 170 whenever CW2 or SJE is delayed by massive jam on PIE
Ya.. It true. 170 won't cut because that service mainly serves from Queen Steet to Johor Bahru for years. Queen Street bus terminal are locally recognise for buses and taxis to Johor. It won't cut for sure.
However, I guess service 66 might cut once DTL 1,2 & 3 open. It is because it serves Bedok Reservoir, Ubi, MacPherson, Bendemeer, Rochor, Bt.Timah areas that have DTL 1,2 & 3. Maybe 66 will serves from Jurong East to Bukit Timah only or Bedok to Bukit Timah instead of full route.
Doubt so svc 67 and 23 will be cut. Some passengers like to take 23 because it travel on expressway where people can get seat instead of standing in trains.
This is what I guess. Maybe it's too early to predict. Cheers...
61 can be shortened to Lor 1 Geylang Ter via Upp Boon Keng Rd (where 175 plies)
Originally posted by carbikebus:Hope 170 shortened to Bt Batok.63M is to serve Ubi n McPherson area mainly workers at the industrial area.Thats why the need to 63 to cut Ubi/McPherson sector and introduced a fixed new short haul or feeder follow 63M route
Most of 63's load is between Eunos/MacPherson/Aljunied and Ubi, even during the days when 63A is still existent, so why the fuss is about to cut 63's route?
170 will never be shortened.

Problem is DTL dun have 'potong jalan' for you to get from Bt Timah to Bedok Reservoir at Rochor... Unless you switch to CCL at Botanic Gardens and back at Macpherson... lol
Meaning to say, cutting up 66 is pretty difficult still.
Hope to see the transport operators revert back to those days before the Tibs/SMRT merger. SBST and Tibs to operate all the bus routes only whereas SMRT the sole rail operator to operate all MRT and LRT lines.
1. Introduce a new service 43M to serve between Punggol to Serangoon during weekday peak hours.
2. Abolish the service 163M that runs full day. Instead, increase one more full day duty for the full 163 route so as to improve frequency.Originally posted by Gus.chong:Most of 63's load is between Eunos/MacPherson/Aljunied and Ubi, even during the days when 63A is still existent, so why the fuss is about to cut 63's route?

1) The parts to be serve well is between Serangoon and Paya Lebar/Marine Parade/Tanjong Katong.
i am hoping to have more fast foward services since we lack semi-express routes
Introduced more full day express svc la.I dun care if off peak is 20 mins but with limited stops/ply expressways.

Remember that there was supposed to be a Fast Forward 100e in 2006 (I did saw the route details on the information board that time), then don't know what happened and the plan was scrapped.
The 500 series should be introduced back.Good for supplementing trunk routes which is always jam packed even during off peak.51 for instance.Hg to geylang 60% loads,Then Geylang to Chinatown 85% etc Serangoon Ctrl need 1 looping at Orchard
971E can convert full day Liao.868 should put on trial.
Buses already have not more than 20 pax in off peak hours. I wonder after DTL opens what it is going to be like?
I think it would make sense to reorganize the entire bus network to make optimum utilization of them, unless it is going to bleed into loses.
Dun see off peak only look into peak hours too.if peak hour still 60% loading then got problem.Sg commuters kow pei say off peak bus late but when co reschedule give more buses bus not full.Off peak standard la that's why Split shift buses rest at depots.
