Basic salary for SBST Bus Captains to rise by 16% to $1,600

In today's Shin Min Daily News.
Basic salary of BC to increase to $1600 from $1375. Adding on allowances of $225 plus OT and other benefits, the salary is up to $2250 per month.
It is hope that this move will encourage more locals to consider joining them.

I used to drive Taxi as a relief..The fuel and rent $$$ you have to retard to cover that first.

Definately a good move, especially they give more pay rise for locals than foreign BCs. At last something that they have done to give more privilage to Singaporeans.

They dun mind graveyard shift work as long there are at least 2 days off per week just like SMRT bus style.I work in Airport the cycle also jialat for 3 weeks its only 3 days off only on 4th week i enjoyed 3 or 4 days off.Plus minus one.Only setback is you have to drive back to depot after work and even worse if have to return interchange back.Time wastage.Imagine Eunos OS BRBP then come back to Eunos,Wait for EB to send you home,But for some cases theres 3 BCs i know stay at Eunos but for those living in JB they have to take EB back to BRBP take their bike..Imagine the time consume

I bet many Smrt Singaporean SLs will either resign or jump boat.6 days might as well join Sbst due to its better profit sharing and bonuses.
