Still remember the 17 Dec disruption..
How the Habit had to turn out from Novena Church bus stop to keep right to get to Newton Rd..
lol
With the current population and vehicles increasing there's no point buy more bendies,I've got rumors that they are studying the feasible of DDs although it's just unofficial

Look who is living under the tent/in the well/igloo...You don't seems to know how things work here. Do you think LTA or the bus companies will give official statements on everything???
Did SBST gave an official statement when the last midibuses, Dennis Darts, had retired???
Did SBST told the public that they sold their only 2 bendies to other countries???
Did SBST told anyone the last day of the last non aircon single deckers???
Did LTA gave an official statement saying the reasons why no more CNG buses are purchased???
Did NTU/SBST/LTA ever give you a date on when the electric bus is going to be on public service or why hasn't it been on service for such a long time???
Did SBST ever posted anything about the failed trial of the MAN demo bus in their website???
Did SBST even told you why they choose Wright bus over Enviro 500 bodies for the new B9TLs???
Did SBS/LTA even say why the superlong bus plan and trial had failed to replace all single deckers in the 90s and why SBS did not trial the bi-articulated bus???
Did SMRT even give a damn about the deregistered Nissan Diesels and annouce to the public that it is gone???
Did SMRT even say that they had rebuilt a burnt down bendy in the newspapers???
Unless it's about new things or upcoming new projects, else LTA and the bus companies won't say too much to the public.
Who do you think you are??? Head of LTA or CEO of ComfortDelgro/SMRT??? Must tell you everything under the sun...
If you can't give me official sources/links/news, Then keep quiet. All these seems to me are personal reasons as to why you aren't able to accept bendies for who they are.
LTA people may say it verbally =/= a reality.
in that case we shall wait till the box bendy retires, or when they order a batch of production bendies, or when they order DDs.
relac loh...

I didn't say jam free.. But there has to be some sort of movement at every traffic cycle.
Which is why 971E skips the 270 bus stop for good.
This part is very confusing. When are services 97, 107, 111 & 147 handed to TIBS?

Good. I heard someone saying that his/her friend claimed that LTA banned bendies, but after we search for a few resources, all turned out to be untrue...
I just want to know about one thing I haven't received a reply for a long time:
Where is the press release by LTA to say that they banned bendies???

Go read my post in the previous page. LTA don't have to give official news on every news, they don't need to answer everything they do to you. Very clear that you have never worked before, you don't even know how companies operate in the first place.

Well, that's good news.

Ya who knows Volvo B9TL might came out with new euro 6 with 330/350hp version or MAN A39 might sent a demo although it's tat too long
so many speculations which are not backed up by evidence
and too much personal squabbling in here instead of constructive discussion
any hearsays of LTA suggesting SMRTB adopt double-deckered??

No official news means it is still unconfirmed.

There will not be any official news released to the public on this. Once the details are finalised, they will just implement it quietly. They don't see the need to make a big hoo ha over this.

Agreed..need not publicize to bring to commuters' knowledge since it will not affect them in any way
10 years down the road we'll probably hear something like "did u notice bendy buses are a rare sight these days..."
especially on corridors serving Sv 190..commuters will ask Where are our bendies??
only when they see DDs on Sv 190, they will understand
Will this pave a way to SMRTB buying DDs??

Is there any bendies on 850 or even during that time?

SMRT will never buy DD!!
850 never got to see bendies...
Well, I've alrdy said, the new BI layout can tell you there's alrdy no room for bendies...
SMRT can never buy bendies good, eventually w/ bus tendering, SMRT can kiss goodbye to getting Boon Lay, Clementi, Serangoon, Ang Mo Kio, Toa Payoh, Sengkang bus routes.

Sure or not?
Short term or long term?
if LTA is the one suggesting SMRTB adopt DDs instead of bendies, will SMRTB dare to oppose?
There is always a first time..in the past we never expected SMRTB to operate a bus service into JB
anyway bendies should pose no notable problem in feeder routes in yishun woodlands and cck
and reminds me
Complacency...
Bendy like beckham.

Actually bendies are the main culprit for problems like long bus queues, jams and parking spaces for these three interchanges, especially for Woodlands and Yishun since they have many feeder services using bendies.
