Add one more: the rubber sleeve at the bendy joint has rotted away. There are holes and water coming in when it rains.

One thing good is it helps to sweep the road
Take 190 often?

Once in a while.. why?
Take pictures of the affected areas and sent an email to their corps comm,Thats is what i do for the MKI & MKII Bendys..Thats not an excuse even though they did change the seat covers and new EDS.Engine wise SBST still maintain better. This is what they get when the manpower fully utilised to maintain Taxis and Singtel vehicles

Drop the bendies,
we talk about
OCs,Citaros or even MANs.
The basis of maintaince, at least wash the exterior once in a while. The exteriors of some of these buses area already very dirty, machiam like JB buses, and old buses. =.=
Just compare KUBs and OCs, or SBS Citaros and SMRT Citaros, the difference in their exteriors!
Not to mention the faulty aircons, brake lights/signal lights, EDS.. yea..
SBS are better at their maintaince, their scanias still feels new despite the jerky rides. hahaha
Uh yeah, I'm always surprised to see the "supposedly brand-new" MANs come out looking like shit with their yellowish exterior after just 2-3 days out on the roads.
Anyway, if anyone did notice, there's always some black black build-up of dust/stains/whatever dirt is there on the interior panels of those SMRT buses?
Doesn't apply to those refurbed ones since they practically changed all the panels, but at least learn from SBST, which I believe does some scrubbing or something to their buses' AC ducts & interior panels without replacing the whole AC duct/interior panel. Just look at many of the VSOs (9801Y is one the last time I sat), haven't changed interior panels but at least the stains of dust and water are rubbed away.

SMB2E
then you can see the problem with the bendy joint there.

There will be no more bendies in future. No more of these stupid road hoggers that jam roads and bus facilities in future.
Other than SMRT's poor way of maintenance, I think that it also shows that bendy buses are very difficult to maintain as compare to other kinds of buses. It is time that SMRT to switch to double deckers.
Continue to dream about it, My friend. Whether or not SMRT sticks to bendies is at their discretion, Not yours.

SMRT will buy more Citaros and Citaro Gs!!!

Ok, You want citaro G right? You have to wait and also have to see if SMRT wants it, It isn't your decision to begin with.

Decisions are being made. LTA is banning them. SMRT is also fed up with them. Just look at the kind of maintainance, SMRT won't want to keep them for long. Good riddance that there is no more bendies in future.

SMRT refurb all bendy and give life extension will stay until 2020!!!!
Originally posted by SBS 1000U:I have a friend who knows people there.
I also know them n they love Citaro G lots!!!!!
Refurb is not an condition or pre-requisite over extension of lifespan...
Anyway only the MKI bendies are in for retirement if we calculate the 17 yr lifespan...

Seriously, why are you still alive??? Now I understand why everyone finds you so irritating. Your brains eaten by bugs???
So who do you know in SMRT, SBST & LTA or even MOT?
So let me ask a question...
Do you know the original plan for the Clementi Bus Int & C'wealth Ave West bus stop since you say you know ppl from LTA..
I can type cos it's alrdy not going to occur w/ the shift.

I didn't ask about town planning or stuffs like that as I am not interested.
But I do know some stuffs like SBS nearly replaced their single deckers with super long buses in the 90s, internal conflicts that caused SMRTB to almost collapse a few years back, and some reasons why some demos are rejected.

Superlong bus project ended up didn't work.. A lot of other issues began to surface
Dear SMRT
The buses you inherited from Tibs were new especially many of the bendy buses. Same goes to the 3rd series of MRT trains that used to be fitted w/ luggage racks which now suffers from poor aircon circulation.
So how come all these 'new' machines are in poor working conditions now?
It is not obvious to me that 997 to 999 would herald a bendy era for SBS.
So many problems with these buses.
997A doesnt even have a proper parking lot......much less Asia's Longest Bus.
Only TIBS persisted in bendies.....half the woes todays were caused by that.
Not to mention besides the 0405s, the rest of the fleet is just rotting away. Even the OC500.

Please have an official PR at hand if you want people to believe you than bendies are banned here. I don't give a rat's ass about your friend working in LTA supplying all this untrue yet biased info.
