Not want to whack on this, but seriously I've begun seeing the downfall of bendy buses..
1) Near stalling of engine: Whenever the bus halts, the engine is like going to stall like that. The clutch engagement is not there anymore.
2) Headlights/ signal: Some dun even have signal lights.
3) Aircon: Air is reek of smell of dust, fungy..
4) Handgrips: Like totally removed alrdy, so is standee allowed? lol
5) EDS: Some of the EDS alrdy died for so long and no one bothers.
Goes to show how much SMRT feels about upkeeping bendy buses actually...
I remember seeing this Habit on 851 a few times with a rear ad at the back with it's 3rd brake light on even when the bus is moving.I saw the bus 2 or 3 times b4 and the problem nvr seemed to be fixed.
Took TIB1041H on 969 last month and the bus was roaring like super crazy.Accelerate abit only then start roaring like mad alr.Rear interior was also quite stuffy with the aircon not working properly.
TIB1058K's rear exterior seems as if like the bus might catch fire anytime soon like that.The engine cover is in a very bad condition for very long as if like the bus had alr caught fire b4.Nothing seems to have been done about this bus too.

SMRT will refurbish all and bring in Citaro G and MAN bendy!!!
Gorba eds installed on many bendy, more to come!! After refurbish the bendy sure look new!!!

Although most of the bendies are "cui"(lousy), there's still some who are working well. TIB1139K, TIB1090R are some of them. The worst(for me) is still TIB1000B, with strong foul smell in the interior always..
Company culture one word to describe - Mo chap. Same for the LRT train. Dust and water leaking even not raining.

There will be no more bendies in future. No more of these stupid road hoggers that jam roads and bus facilities in future.
Other than SMRT's poor way of maintenance, I think that it also shows that bendy buses are very difficult to maintain as compare to other kinds of buses. It is time that SMRT to switch to double deckers.

even SMRT's mess over the MRT door dwell time is telling. They tell u LRT now more frequent, got CCL lunchtime express
But they cut down the dwell time at every station.. End up very tight.

Most likely it's back to the haunt of the foul smell in TIB904A with urine-smell fabric seats back in 2010.

CCL's peak hour train services had not been officially named as LunchtimeXpress.

The MK Is and MK IIs that have been refurbished seems ok, except for the pretty loud engine noise in the interior. For the Habit bodied buses, they probably need some refurbishment or cleaning up soon.
Currently from observation EDSes are being upgraded, with the Gorba signage being installed on the malfunctioning or failing flipdot signages buses.

Refurb is a sort of one time off incident, the maintenance and upkeeping issues later on may repeat again?
Seriously why the heck do you need refurb?
Many of these are all caused by little maintenance of the buses under SMRT era.
Just to wayang saying I've did improvement? I guess it's just like the dwell time, 'improve' le, and later repeat the tight dwell time 1 week later for someone else to complain to say another improvement..

The Habit bendies were excellent when brand new. Their luxurious interior made the Volvo Olympians of SBS look drab. The situation is reversed now.
Inadequate maintenance has been apparent on other models like Dennis Lance as well....not solely Bendies
Reminds me of the conditions of the Nissan Diesels NAC in the 90s and even most of the johor buses today
Maybe one day all the bendies will catch fire and burn and that is it for the bendies and SMRT motor workshop managers. Even the new buses from SMRT also started to feel jerky and air-con not feel comfort.
SMRT's maintainace is really zzz..

OCs,Citaros or even MANs.
The basis of maintaince, at least wash the exterior once in a while. The exteriors of some of these buses area already very dirty, machiam like JB buses, and old buses. =.=
Just compare KUBs and OCs, or SBS Citaros and SMRT Citaros, the difference in their exteriors!
Not to mention the faulty aircons, brake lights/signal lights, EDS.. yea..
SBS are better at their maintaince, their scanias still feels new despite the jerky rides. hahaha
The OC are beginning to feel jerky alrdy.
