SINGAPORE: SBS Transit and SMRT have improved 22 bus services and added 180 bus trips weekly between January and March, according to the Land Transport Authority (LTA).
The findings were part of a quarterly review of bus services by LTA and the two public transport operations.
SBS Transit and SMRT
deployed higher capacity buses or added more bus trips to increase
frequency and capacity for sectors with heavy ridership.
For
example, SMRT added an extra trip on Service 77 while SBS Transit
started short trips on three bus services - 53, 198 and 240.
The
additions and improvements cater better to peak-period demand along
specific stretches of these bus routes, with commuters waiting at bus
stops along those stretches now having a better chance of boarding the
first-arriving bus during the peak periods.
This latest round of
improvements raises to 104 the number of unique bus services since the
quarterly review process began in June 2010.

Until now no improvements of svc 113 :)
LTA should really take a look at 113's situation after kovan station after 6pm. Every bus that comes are packed.

Svc 5 peak hour headways are getting bad.. 15 to 20 mins one bus and once the 1st bus is late it gets pile up by the 2nd bus which also came fully packed. =.=

The number of accidents in the past few days...
Ytd: BKE (Woodlands) accident at the Chantek Flyover. Jam trail back all the way to PIE at least Toa Payoh. Whitley Rd, Dunearn Rd (Near Kheam Hock Rd) traffic snail.
Few days back: School bus overturn near Sheng Siong at Bedok Reservoir Rd. Traffic control (Tampines bound become 1 direction to let Eunos bound traffic move).
325 has improvement but still no improvement for off-peak hours.
On the bus stop board, it puts these.
AM Peak 4 - 7 min
AM Off-peak 6 - 11 min
PM Peak 5 - 8 min
PM Off-peak 7 - 13 min
I'm not sure about the exact figures.
Then, during the AM Off-peak hours,
I wait for 325...
I STILL need to wait very long for it.
Until I use iris.
325 : 21 min
[ Slow traffic ]
Sub Bus : 53 min
WTF IS THIS?
I instead waited for 23 minutes.
After the loop,
I saw the other 325 at Punggol Park there with 1 more 325 stacked behind it.
between this 2 sections, no trail of ANY 325.

Chantek, chantek, chantek.
My father said that there is once a 'accident zone' sign over there somewhere.
But once LTA or whoever removed it,
The accidents happening there increased ten-folds.
From 41 cases per year [ with sign board ]
To 135 cases per year [ w/o sign board ]
Or is something else the factor of it?
That factor seems to coincidence with the removal of sign board.

Nothing to do w/ that
It's always speeding, failure to keep a safe distance..
Also ppl's driving attitude these days, weaving in and out of lanes.

Same to drivers along Yio Chu Kang Road near Jalan Kayu that stretch.
Tons of speeders.
No camera putted somemore.
i wish for bus service 59 to improve during peck hours by putting more DD/sd buses on this timing 7am to 9am and 5pm to 7pm
I find these quarterly review quite crappy... especially from SMRT. Add one bendy or add one trip also report. For example 971E add one trip each quarter also report. Add one bendy at the expense of another service. .
I can predict they will add another bendy or one trip to 971Eand report as service improvement again in the next quarter review.

The only possibility for DDs on 59 is to put more Wrights on 59.

yeah. but better than 18 mins one bus, then full. Sometimes cannot even board.
At least 147 and 190 has a less-than-10 min frequency.
43's demand can be filled up by a single kub, same case for 113.

325 got as crowded as 113 bo? 7 buses, same as 113 but demand not the same. big difference
sv43 getting DDs is a bit absurd... now sv76 DDs underutilised
sv43 should introduce a special evening run(s) from Punggol to SGN CTRL...
LAst but not least... sv966 getting a bulk of the improvement wic is a waste of precious resources for WLDEP
Apr 2 1910hrs Marine Parade Rd within 5mins
1 MAN, 1OAC, 1 CAC and all three buses are 1/8 full...
SIGH...
ACx
