  Hmm IMHO it's better if all are gone by early 2014.SMRT depots are small.Wldep capacity can't even win SBST BBDEP capacity..

  I seriously would not like to see these 04s gone, But look at the pathetic state now. WLDEP really have space issues which I suspect is holding 797S 804E 805C 808U 809S back. And their reluctance to kick those crappy L113CRLs out. No wonder that is holding it for so long.

  SMRT Automotive Services will carry out the refurbishment of 323 MB O405 buses. This is based on the Land Transport Authority granting a life extension of the Group’s current buses. After the refurbishment, the MB O405s can continue running services until they are 19 years old. At present, the fleet’s average age is 15 years. The life extension programme enables SMRT to continue operating these buses efficiently and safely, while maximising the use of our existing fleet.

  I saw TIB775E on 12 Jan 2013 and 13 Jan 2013 on 169....

  And OM still stats 11 Jan 2013 as lifespan ends of that day.
