Should we have a bus driver thread/forum here?
like the taxi drivers forum, we should have a forum/thread to discuss about the experience of being a bus driver, should we?
I have a bc friend, which wakes up early in the morning like 4.30am? He waits at his house bus stop everyday without fail. He takes the EB bus to HGDEP and start his work there. But leh he must drink one cup of kopi-o then can start shift, kopi-o keeps him going or else he will .
EG, He drives svc 113 and must drive from HGDEP to HG INT then tap card start shift. He also say 113A very troublesome cause must drive from HG INT to upp paya lebar road and wait there till 7.00am then drive from Upp paya lebar road to pick pax till kovan station then u-turn then do another trip. The worst part is going to the toilet because he must park his bus at tampines road till his shift starts. LOL :d

No definite answer... as everyone is rushing for time.. Unless they are really urgent.. BCs are humans too right?

Employer bus means that only Bus captains can board this bus to the depot from the bus stop near their homes, basically, is like a school bus
Originally posted by SBS 3010C:I agree with SBS 5010 P … New comers need to wait 5 mins for first 20 post?Is there a definite time that the BC can go home or is it the number of trips that the BC drove ?
The definite time, not the number of trips..
eg take 115 for instance, first bus 0715 last bus 1815, bc must leave punctually to return bus to depot, wash bus, refuel bus, clean bus then go home about 1900 hrs liddat then can go back home
if count by trips then is diff thing, for instance, premium services, short-working trips

then what about the BCs who drive the EB buses?

Is allowed .but they have to ensure the bus is parked at a safe spot, engine and airconditioning must be left running if there is passengers on board. I saw one 36's BC at suntec yesterday, alighted the bus after parking the bus slightly up ahead of the bus stop to go to the convention centre's toilet.
Usually the drivers will go to toilet first before starting their trips, but we don't know what will happen enroute..right?

if i'm not wrong they are the drivers who live very near the depot.

Forums or topics? This is just a discussion whether the forums should be setted, there isn't any forums set up at all.

What about feeder services like svc 243 ? They wake up as early as 4 something, work till midnight , after doing all the things they need, they get back home around 1 am . 3 hours sleep only ? Not only feeder svc too.Isn't that quite tiring?
