Sv 93 vs CCL: CCL so expensive!

CCL is such a rip off.
Took Sv 93 from Seah Im Rd to Farrer Rd Stn, it's 8.1km & fares payable $1.17... Run time 23 mins, bus was travelling at like 40 - 50km/hr.
If it's CCL, it takes 20 mins, but fare is $1.56... 33.33% more!

dont take ccl lor since ccl is so "expensive".

In fact by taking CCL, one would have to inccur paying 2 more fare bands on top of the 25 cents underground rail premium.

Don't forget that lots of $$ had been spent just to to build the entire CCL. Furthermore CCL runs by electricity hence they need to charge higher fares.

Guys, u must rmb CCL goes a longer distance cos it span out to Kent Ridge, Buona Vista before twining back to Farrer Road! If u less off the 25 cent mark up, it's $1.31 i.e normal trunk service rates

you know what's a mrt and bus concession pass? i can take the circle line and svc 93 100 times a week if i want :) for a price of $50.50 :) so you can get yourself a pass then you wont be complaining that the ccl is expensive. -

dun compare a student card to an adult ez-link card
Student card only deduct u 35c to 45c from starting point to end point....
Where by Adult ez-link deduct u 75c juz for one stop -

SMRT paid no cost to build it. This is what I know before the new mrt line lease came out. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

wad to do? prices rise up lor btw i buy my own concession pass by working part time 5 hours a day during weekends. So i dont find a problem in buying my own pass or topping up my ez-link card to take the ccl :) when i grow up

And in our case, the gov't recoups the price of building MRT by selling land adjacent to the stations when the price goes up after the MRT line is operational.
