there is totally no competition. both companies are majority owned by Ho Jinx gambling inc anyway...
of course, benefits like economies of scale, better allocation and utilization of resources, can be realised
politically, tuck yew will not do that because it will look bad as the public land transport industry will be a monopoly market. the only thing standing in between a merger is him indifrectly. monority shareholders will never have enough shares to block any decisions
either way, PAP already screwed up the industry.

i think they shouldnt merge, cos then there will not be anymore competition. and as a result, thwy will fail to improve their transport systems. because of the lack of competition
