Hi~ Was talking with my friend about connecting bus transfers today. We not really hardcore bus fans lah, but just wondering:
Which are two points in Singapore, such that the least number of buses you have to take between them is the maximum?
Like, the least number of bus between JE int and Bedok int is 1 (svc 66), so cannot count something like 66-157-67.
Any consecutive stops?

Just a random one, from Punggol Road End to NTU.
Total 3 transfers: sbst84 to Punggol >> sbst43 to Paya Lebar >> sbst30 to Boon Lay >> sbst179 to NTU
Even if you take train+bus instead of just bus, the minimum is still 3 transfers (including the transfer made at outram park)
Another similar 3 transfer route is from Sembawang Road End. Ulu enough!
aku tak tahu.

Meaning there are some places in Singapore that does not have a direct bus to them. You have to make transfers to get to them.
So the question is, are there places where there is no way to get there other than making the maximum transfer allowable.
I don't know, because from my place at Bedok I can go almost anywhere with a direct bus, or with just one transfer.

Oh, so is there any two places in Singapore that require 5 consecutive bus services?

Are you trying to maximise the distance fare transfers?

It's not actually easy to find a 5 bus service route (4 transfers) that is also the minimum.
Punggol Road End - Tuas South Ave 9 can actually be done with 4 bus services (3 transfers)
