Premium 555 is a good route though it takes a longer route compare to 971E. Only drawback is only one trip a day in the morning. Another new premium from private operator 725 running in Bt Panjang to town for $4, i guess.

SBST introduced new service, 43A, operating from 7:07 a.m. to 9:47 a.m. from Buangkok Green [ right after Buangkok Drive ] to Serangoon Ctrl [ NEX ].
[ Looks like I hit jackpot ]
Can see the letter clipped onto bus-stops located along the affected bus-stops but not yet posted on SBS website. -

SBST did mention that the 1000 new buses (550 Wright + 450 Ciaros) rolling in are also part of the fleet renewal, so I believe that these new buses will also replace some of the MK4s.

Operating only from 7:07am till 9:46am. No operation on PM peak and public holidays.

Bus Services Affected By National Day Preview And Parade 2012
18 SBS Transit Services - 10, 14, 16, 36, 56, 57, 70M, 97, 100, 111, 130, 131, 133, 162/162M, 195, 196, 502 and 518 - will be affected when roads around Marina Bay are closed for the National Day Preview and Parade 2012. As a result, on Saturday, 4 August, and on Thursday, 9 August, these 18 affected bus services will skip these bus stops during the hours indicated:
