Class 4A license

  How to go about in getting the license?
  
  I got class 3 license for 8 years already...
  
  do i have to join one of the bus companies as a trainee bus driver to get the license?

  need to get the vocational licence in order to be allowed to drive private coach, right? so i have to join one of the bus companies like SBS as a trainee bus driver to get the vocational license?

  Class 3 +bus vocational licence(attainable in all driving centres) = can drive commuter van private buses.

  Class 4 licence + bus vocational licence(attainable in all driving centres) = can drive larger private buses.

  Class 4A = only can drive SBS and SMRTB buses only, and it's vaild as long u have employment in either of these 2 companies as bus driver.

  Class 4A  is only issued to you by LTA/TP if you are bus captain of SBST/SMRT and you must also have vocational licence. Class 4A has to be surrendered when you quit driving for SBS or SMRT

  class 4 only available at PCDC/SSDC.. the other 2 driving centres dont offer it

  Just to check, I only have class3 right now. If I were to join SBST as a BC, I need to go and apply my own Vocational Licence or SBST will provide?

  If you join SBST or SMRT, they will train you for a class 4A license. But after training, you can only cross over between these 2 companies. 4A license is only valid for driving SBST or SMRT buses.
  
  SBST and SMRT will also issue you a separate vocational license. Once you resign, you have to return the vocatinal license back to the respective operators. The classification VL for private and public bus operator is also different.

  Yes! I'm interested to become a Bus Captain after 9more months, now still doing my national service.

  I need to gather some information first as I afraid being a BC can't earn a living enough.. What's your thought?
